Rangoli cafe & restaurant — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

They gave me a sick, fried fish with PARASITES inside. When I challenged them about that they pretended they didn’t know what parasites were. I had to use a lot of chat gpt and Wikipedia. They finally admitted they understood but didn’t apologize, didn’t feel bad and wanted to charge me the full price of the fish even though I didn’t eat it. Finally they charged me 70% for it. Zero honor, hence the review.

Response to the owner's review: The photo was taken mid June so I gave you the bad review 1.5 months later when I wasn't in my country yet. You are saying: " and you eat fish here ten times"- it is a LIE. I ate in your place only 1 time before this experience so in total I was in your restaurant 2 times. After the 'parasite' incident when you wanted to charge me full price for the fish even though I didn't eat it I never went to your place again. And I gave you bad review as you wanted to charge me full price for sick fish you served me showing no honor. I told you I wouldn't pay for it full price as I didn't eat it and it was a sick fish. The chicken pizza at Rangoli cafe in Vashisht was uncooked. The chicken on the pizza was raw with blood on it. The owner or staff refused to accept their mistake and said that this is how they serve their pizza. While they offered to re-heat or cook the pizza, their rude behaviour led us to leave the place. The pizza is for Rs. 300 and not worth it.

For some reason I cannot reply back to your comment. But when a customer says that the chicken is uncooked with blood on it and you reply "No it is not uncooked." When you say to the customer to check each piece of chicken on this pizza this is rude behaviour. It is not the customers job to check the each piece. We are paying customers and expect cooked food. I don't think that is too much to ask.

On my way back from Jogini Falls, I happened to meet the owner(Uncle Ji)of this place - who warmly invited us to try a meal there. Though we were full that day, his hospitality stayed with us, and we returned another evening for dinner.

That’s when we met Chef Golu Ji, who is not only a wonderful cook but also an excellent host with great recommendations. On his suggestion, we tried the Rangoli Special Pizza—and it was truly one of a kind! Honestly, it was the best large-sized pizza we’ve ever had. We loved it so much that we went back the very next day just to enjoy it again.
