Kulhi Katandi (Mini Thailand), Jibhi – A Hidden Gem with Nature’s Unique Stone Artistry

During our recent trip to Jibhi, one of the most unique and memorable spots we explored was Kulhi Katandi, popularly known as Mini Thailand. Tucked away in the forested trails near Jibhi, this hidden location truly lives up to its nickname, thanks to its dramatic stone formations and crystal-clear river waters.

🌿 Natural Wonder with a Thai Vibe

What makes Kulhi Katandi so special is its naturally carved rock structures in the middle of a flowing stream, which strongly resemble the limestone formations often seen in Thailand. The contrast of smooth, dark stones against the sparkling water gives it a striking, almost otherworldly appearance. It’s no surprise that this spot has become a favorite among offbeat explorers and nature lovers.

🥾 The Journey

Reaching Mini Thailand requires a short hike through a pine forest, which adds to the adventure. The path is moderately easy and well worth the effort. The peaceful walk through the woods sets the tone perfectly before you arrive at the refreshing river landscape.

📸 A Perfect Spot to Unwind

Once there, it’s the kind of place where you just want to sit by the water, take in the sounds of nature, dip your feet, and maybe snap a few photos. The atmosphere is incredibly tranquil and photogenic, making it a great spot to relax away from the more touristy areas.

🌟 Final Thoughts

Kulhi Katandi is a true hidden treasure of Jibhi—a place where nature shows off its quiet artistry. If you’re looking to experience something unique and untouched, beyond the typical travel circuits, this little slice of “Mini Thailand” is absolutely worth the visit. Just bring good walking shoes, some water, and a...

How to reach to this place: Firstly reach jibhi. Then walk for 250-300 mtrs towrads Jalori pass. U'll find a yellow board of Forest guest house on left side. From here u'll have to Trek down opp to that board. During the trek downwards u'll find some amazing purple coloured flowers. On moving little down u'll find 2 pipes, so now Trek upstream following these pipelinestrek for another 100 mtrs. U'll find 2 large stones placed in a hut pattern and I've reached Ur destination. Be careful with the directions as very few locals know about this location.

This is kind of natural pond formed on the path of river surrounded by lush green Himalayas. This place is called Mini Thailand because of how 2 big rocks are naturally positioned...it somewhat looks like phi phi Island from Thailand... it's actual name is Kuli Katandi... This place is serene and picturesque...and is at walking distance from Jibhi Market... It's a small hiking trail...we were but lost as there are no directions... Nobody as clear idea where it is...then we found a bunch of guys who were lost ...and we joined them and finally found the location... You have to walk down a bit and then take a left...follow white pipes is what locals says.. Try visiting this place when sun is still shining... So that if you get lost, you can still explore or reach back on time... Anyways, it was worth getting lost and then locating the place... :) Also we collected so many beautiful pebbles... Please note that this trail can be difficult if you have infant or toddler along with you... Hope you enjoy the place and feedback is worth...
