Safilguda Lake — Attraction in Hyderabad

safilguda lake, also known as Nadimi cheruvu and Mini tankbund, is a lake located in Old Neredmet, Secunderabad. There is a park adjacent to the lake called Safilguda lake park. This lake has a small island called Nadimi bird island, it is covered with thick trees, which attracts variety of wildlife, especially migratory birds. Katta Misamma Temple is located on the Shoreline of the lake. The road around the lake is similar to the Necklace road around the "tank bund" on the Hussain Sagar Lake and hence the lake is also called as "mini tankbund". Nice place. Well maintained by ghmc. Free parking facility available for visitors. Free entry for every one. Best suitable for morning and evening walk. Also play area with some facilities available for children. Even restrooms are available for gents and ladies. Nice walkway and sitting benches are available. Green grass field and full with green trees besides the lake. Lake is filled with water even in summer. Bird watchers can have good time by spotting different types of birds here.
