The Atal Bihari Botanical Garden in Bengaluru, India, is a lush oasis in the midst of the bustling city. Named after the former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, this botanical garden is a haven for nature enthusiasts, offering a peaceful escape and a chance to connect with a diverse range of plant life.

The garden's sprawling landscape is a testament to India's rich biodiversity. It is home to a vast collection of plant species, both native and exotic, carefully curated to create a beautiful and educational experience. As you explore the garden, you'll encounter a wide variety of trees, shrubs, flowering plants, and aromatic herbs, each with its own unique charm.

One of the highlights of the Atal Bihari Botanical Garden is its serene atmosphere and provides a habitat for aquatic plants and birds. Strolling along shaded pathways and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature is a delightful experience here.

The garden also serves as an educational resource, with informative signage and displays that help visitors learn about the various plant species and their ecological significance. It's a great place for students, researchers, and anyone interested in botany or horticulture.

For those seeking a bit of relaxation, there are designated picnic areas where you can unwind amidst the greenery, making it a popular spot for families and friends to spend quality time together.

The Atal Bihari Botanical Garden in Bengaluru is a place where you can immerse yourself in the beauty and tranquility of nature while learning about the importance of plant conservation. It's a delightful destination for a leisurely day out, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and a testament to India's commitment to preserving its...

First thing, you can't call it a botanical garden, rather it's simply a coconut orchard. It's not at all suitable for morning or evening walk for the following reasons: The roads are full of small sized broken boulders and there's every possibility of destroying your shoes. If by mistake any senior citizen or child fell down then he/she will break his/her head or bone of his body. It happened last month to two children on different dates. Road is there but not in good condition. Movement of stray dogs inside this so called garden. When asked to the security guard sitting near the only entrance gate, he told that yes they are entering when the gate is not guarded and no one is there to drive them out. No medicinal plant is planted inside the garden which should be planted for the benefit of the commuters during their morning and evening walk. Safety issues: i. One complete round or cycle inside the walking track is 2km; but unfortunately if it rains in between there is no place for shelter and one will be fully drenched. ii. As mentioned above if the stray dogs bite or attack anyone inside the garden then he is gone and it can't be noticed immediately by others. iii. Same safety issues if it's done by any criminal minded human beings also. iv. In many places one can find the notices displayed that there is movement of snakes inside the garden and hence one should be careful while walking. But unfortunately nothing is done to advert any such fatal issues. Snakes can be caught by snake charmers and they can be handed over to snake museum or Zoo. So, honestly speaking the very purpose of its construction is...

Situated in the heart of fast developing Bengaluru East, Atal Bihari Botanical Garden is a sprawling park, which is popular among fitness enthusiasts and senior citizens alike. Although the park prohibits certain activities like entering with your pets and cycling, it offers a huge and very peaceful natural environment, with hundreds of coconut trees, a variety of plants and shrubs. Besides a long joggers trek, the park also has several narrow damp trails, providing a fascinating countryside like environment for runner and joggers. The garden has adequate basic facilities like senior citizen benches etc. It is very much nearby popular residential gated communities like Sumadhura Eden Garden, Sobha Avenue and Sumadhura Aspire Aurum. I will shortly update the review with exact information on how many steps one can achieve at this park on the...

Atal bihari botanical garden is in east bangalore. Its more of a coconut groove and cashew trees 🌳. 100s of Cashew tress on periphery adds to the greenery while thousands of coconut tress with full of coconuts . As of May 2022 there is a mud track of around 2 to 3 kms and small flower garden. So far no separate area for kids. Cashew are spread on the floors with no takers. Parking on road sides is available. No food inside garden but you may get sugarcane juice outside. Park has drinking water and toilets. No entry fee as of now but not sure in future. Common myna are very common also saw few other birds 🐦.
