If you are the first time visitor to Belgaum (Belgav) I request you to kindly visit Shivaji Garden. It's one of the oldest garden & the evergreen Beauty crown garden of Belgaum (Belgav) . It has the marvelous way to walk around the Garden with the fresh healthy Air. You can Bow to the chattrapati shivaji Maharaj as you enter the gate and visit the garden around. If you are archeologist or aspirant you can observe this great statue of shivaji Maharaj and you will get a feeling as if Maharaja is just before you physically. The garden has spl open air gym for all people of all ages simple and best..there is a memorial of gandhiji where in surrounding it kids can play..they are different games such as wings, rollers,slides,climbers,see saw etc where kids will love to play.. Note to parents -there is a Nala (dranaige lft water cannal) in between so please TC of ur kids. See to that they play bit far from it as strong acidic stinky smell and mosquitoes will be which isn't good. Garden is located in heart of the belgaum City so all transports are available..see to that you leave the place by 730-8pm as too mosquitoes be due to drainage...

The authorities are trying to change the face of the Garden. Good walkway about 3/4th Kilometer ready with Pavers. Water system is circulated for watering the plants. Playing articles for kids are newly situated. For Adult excercise materials are placed in apropriate place. Still some drawbacks are there. The Canal (Lendi Nala) is running through the garden which is fully open & gives bad smell all the time. Somehow we must overcome this problem, either by covering it or if any other source is available. Toilets are not in good condition. They are very dirty. You appoint some attendent there & Pay & Use system should be observed which will help in keeping Toilets clean. However I request you to allow people urinals with no charge. For that urin pots should me mounted at least in 2 Places. You can increase the number of dustbins & place some fancy dustbins round the walkway.
