One of the worst experiences that I've ever had with oyo. Me and my cousin go and check and see with this manager (Sanjay) who has been affiliated to be running an individual restaurant and bar totally independent of the hotel: 'Hotel Surya Yatri Niwas'. At around 19:30 I go and verify about the cleanliness of the restaurant and about which it seemed ok. At the same time I inform him that it's a shame that my relative had already ordered some food for us from outside. Clearly there are some rules regarding getting outside food, pasted but not necessarily these would be read by customers and not informed anywhere in guidelines and during check in. This manager of the restaurant(Mr. Sanjay) doesn't object to the information that was stated openly about we getting the food(through relative) from outside restaurant and generously giving tips to the server who was very kind to us. After a while when we ask the server to re heat the food, he explains that he wouldn't be able to do so because of constraints. And this manager Sanjay objects bluntly irrespective of the information provided. The very reasonable lady who tries to reason with this manager who seemed to be the owner of the restaurant couldn't reason with the arrogant manager. The manager Sanjay threatens us with being a local guy and saying that we can't reason with him. I don't have photos but the manager of the restaurant Mr. Sanjay wasn't wearing mask at any point as well. We call oyo about this incident and we receive an incident raised about this but don't get any response from them saying concretely about what's the course of action. You can only dream of being safe in corporate run mafias. Coming to hotel, this is situated in old Belgaum area. Streets are very narrow and the area around is a slum. The hotel is clean on a basis of 7/10 and it's decent enough. But the area is so untidy and inaccessible that nothing in hotel matters. Rather book hotels individually through references who could be accountable. Or please don't do it at all at...

I rode out 500km to belgaum by bike. I had trouble finding the place since it's on a road below a flyover and Google maps was pointing me to the rear of the hotel for some reason.
I arrived there fairly tired. Reception consisted of an old man who I wouldn't really call friendly. I didn't even get a bell boy to help carry my rather heavy luggage to my room. I was told someone would give me the key when I got to the room. The room was on the third floor, and since their elevator was a rickety old one that I didn't want to risk, I walked with with all of my luggage up three floors.
When I got to the third floor, a man just gave me the room key. Which I struggled to grab since I was carrying luggage with both hands. He still didn't think to offer help! When I got to the room, the lights were not working. When I asked them about it, they merely switched on a switch that was outside the room to turn on the electricity. Not sure if they expect guests to figure that out themselves too.
Inside the room now. The mattress and pillows on the bed were rock hard. The commode seat in the toilet was absolutely filthy. There was a cockroach running about at night and also too many mosquitoes.
The place is cheap - I paid just 900 bucks a night. But in a small town like Blegaum, there are better places on offer for the same kind of money. I wound up booking this place due to some miscommunication with a business associate. Or else it wouldn't have happened. Please do yourself a favor and...
Read moreWe booked in January, and faced many problems. All these five star reviews seems fake. Although we informed about baby with us, they gave hot water only in morning that too not available in bedroom taps. stayed in room 209 which had this foul smell always as there was not a single window. Hotel is just beside the flyover so there is constant noise in many rooms. We love treebo breakfast but this time this hotel did not even provide basic level of service in breakfast. Single menu, very limited portion not even my toddler could satiate his hunger, it was only half bows upma. Per person they gave half bowl of either poha Or upma and cutting chai.. Height was they did not gave food to my toddler. Me and my husband has to share our breakfast with him and we booked free breakfast room in the name of treebo. Another thing bathrooms in bedroom are at so much elevated height that looked like they skipped two stairs to save the space. Caused me knee pain since then for a month now. Even after requesting so many times they did not provide elevation. Being new mom and these kind of rooms and food and service was not even half mark of treebo. Not expected...
