For every two years, a festival (fair) is being celebrated by most of the people of Shimogha, it is usually celebrated for 4 to 5 days. Festival is usually called as "Maari Habba" or "Maari Jatre". It is believed that celebration of this festival was started by the Keladhi family. Keladhi is place were the king was ruling on. Later on all the people started to celebrate the festival.
