The hills can be climbed in 30 to 40 minutes.
We need to climb the hill barefoot.
The climb would be challenging for senior citizens as the steps are steep. Even though railings are provided, it would be difficult for elderly people to climb.
Kids need to be taken extra care of while climbing since there is a gap between the railings, and kids can easily get out of it without knowing the danger.
It’s about 935 meters above sea level. Once you reach the hilltop, you will find a cool breeze with pure oxygen welcoming you. Breathing on the hilltop gives extra energy to your body, and all your effort climbing the hill is rewarded.
You will be able to see a 360-degree view from the top. Lakes, mango plantations, coconut tree plantations, along with the surrounding hills, give a breathtaking view. It’s worth a watch. Definitely, you will love it.
Afternoon meals are served for everyone at the downhill at the newly constructed Anna Prasad Hall. The food served includes Paaisa/Kheer, Anna, Sambar, and Majigge (Rice, Sambar, and Buttermilk). The food was tastier.

Read moreNot for you if you are scared of height and steep places. A good drive from Bangalore will take you there with country side on the way. Once near you will be able to see the serpentine looking structure on top of the hill. That is to cover the pathway which leads to the top of the temple. You will get the parking at the base for which you might have to pay. Once the walk starts and you are at rhe base of SRS hills, the covered structure starts. It's not a lot of hike but in ate least 3 places, it very steep and little scary as well. Wear shoes with good grip and hold on to the railing all the time. Getting down is also challenging. Once up, it's a beautiful view of other hills nearby, as well as the richard and a lake below(That's most probably is q mango forest). You can go to a small temple once at top for which you will have to climb down a little on other side of the hill but it's scary. Make sure to just lie down and enjoy the breeze at the top.
