Nice Place to Visit. There are Two Buses to take us to the 3 Levels of the Dam. The Lower Point is Garden and Zoo. The Garden and Zoo are very modest in size. But both are well maintained. The Musical Fountain is another attraction.
The Second Level is called Water Level. From there we can have the Closer view of the Dam. The Dam Road starts from this Level.
Highest Point is called Vaikunda. There is a Guest House, Small Park, Light House like Structure (which is Securedly locked as expected keeping in line with the "Rich Indian Tradition" of keeping all Better things only for the eyes of Corrupt Political VIPs. From here, we can have Panoromic Aerial view of the Dam and Garden.
The Bus Service is really helpful and prompt. On the day we visited, there was heavy thunder Storm and Rain which made many of us to take shelter in whatever Shelter available. It was getting dark. We never expected the Bus to come in search of us. But the Bus People came to the Spot and picked all of us. So it is advisable not to mind Rs.20/- (the Bus Fare) and take the Bus.

Well let me put it straight. We went there in the evening to witness the lighting at the flowing dam waters. Disappointed. Lighting on the Dam waters only in July and August as informed by the authorities. The Musical lighting we saw was at the Gardens. No great shakes. People keep walking up and down making your life miserable if you are taking a video shoot!!
For all my friends who visit here:
1. Sunset point - depending on the time of sunset that's the last bus that will bring you down at the Garden point. This was not told to us. Infact nobody tells you anything!
2. There is a guest house there. I found the gate keeper were allowing only certain people from certain State. They didn't allow us!!!
3. The place is neat and tidy. But the locals, spit and throw plastic bottles beyond the fence and litter. Authorities are least concerned. I am posting 1 pucture.
4. Even in the musical garden, though there are dust bins provided locals litter on the grass.
Did not visit the Boat ride, and other amusement options, so cannot comment.
On the whole 😔

Tungabhadra Dam and garden is located on the busy highway from Hospet to Hubli. From the entrance to view point on the hill is about 6 Km. There are private bus services available for Rs 20 for up & down. From View point, Dam and garden has spectacular view. Evening around 5.45 PM, colourful lights on the dam add beauty and feast to the eyes. At about 6.15 PM, the bus services to the dam and garden ends. In the garden, the aquarium and musical dancing Fountains were really superb. The dancing Fountain show starts at 6.50 PM and lasts for 20 min.Zoo is also open in day. Entrance fees to the garden is Rs 25 and Rs 10 for children less than 12 years. This includes entrance fees for every show inside. One should not miss this amazing place to visit.
A nice graden around tungabhadra dam. Best time to visit is evening. Need 1-1.5 hrs to visit park fully but need additionl time for musical fountain. From entry gate it is approx 1 km by walk, cars can be paked at entrance (30rs.)
Park entry ticket rs. 10 available at main gate. Park has many fountains but few are functional.
Before Park there is small entertainment Park for kids. Few eatries are also there outside Park.
A tiny aquarium is also there with additional entry fee.
There is aviary/mini zoo but nothingn is there. However some peacock can be spotted near musical fountain.
Comapred to vrindavan garden, TB dam
Park is small, not much attractive,

We went to see the sunset view , it was amazing buses are there to take u till view point and back . They didn't entertain returning back walking as only vehicles are allowed. Gardens and music fountains are there which forms the good entertainment for the rest of your time. Deer park and mini zoo we couldn't enter as it was late. So good to reach there by evening 4 so can finish all the garden roamings and stuff and head for the sunset. Musical fountain was ok but few songs we felt out of sync. Places are maintained well. Definitely worth a visit if u have more days with you after finishing Hampi.
