This was in the bucket for more than 5 years. When it got started and when it was ready we were like oh yes this should be on the priority list but time goes on we have no time to settle this. At last we made it and it was one of the best experiences we have had.

This is in Chadayamangalam, Kollam district. We went before the closing hours. Actually as per google the close by 5 Pm but when we enquired they said on weekends they will close by 6.30 and weekdays it will be by 5.30 so it's better you can call or message them before you plan. Coming to the place they have ample parking facilities and tickets cost around 200 plus(forgot the app amount i believe it is 262/- per person). Once you take the ticket there is a walkable distance of 1.5 km 800 plus steps to cover. If you are fond of that you can use walkaway or else they have a ropeway which costs around 200 plus per person(inclusive of return journey) or can use helicopter service which it seems was not there when we went. The ropeway can carry 8 people at a time and they used to be 3 ropeways come along and people can wait for their turn. You can see sculpture, Ram temple, 365 view, and foot prints believed to be Rama there. You can also find quite a few cafeterias in and around sculpture and waiting areas. This should be a must watch place when you are planning for an outing in and around kollam or varkala. One more thing should be pointed to be the attitude and behaviour of the staff. They were really friendly and helpful throughout the journey and beware of monkeys when you reach the temple.
