Positives: 1. It's a very beautiful place, ideal for spending an evening with family, watching sunrise/sunset or for an early morning jog or cycle trip. 2. There are no commercial establishments like hotels or street vendors to spoil the serenity. Negatives: 1. The road is very narrow, just enough for two cars to pass and there is barely any space for parking the car. You have water on both sides, so be careful while driving. 2. Actually, this this is just a road, not a sightseeing place officially, and as such there are no civic amenities at all, so no urinals or anything of that sort. 3. The place is getting awfully popular, so in weekends, you can expect hundreds of people in the evenings, all of them in cars and all of them taking up precious road space for parking. The approach to this road is so narrow that two compact- SUVs will have a hard time passing each other. Hence expect major traffic blocks as you try to get back out. Final recommendation: Must visit place but preferably on a two wheeler and on weekdays.

An absolutely stunning and peaceful getaway just a short drive from the chaos of Kochi city. Kadamakkudy Lake View Point is a true hidden gem, offering breathtaking backwater views that feel like you've been transported to a miniature Kuttanad. The main attraction is the drive itself, especially along the scenic roads that are flanked by water on both sides. It's the perfect spot for a relaxing evening drive, a quiet walk, and some incredible photography. We visited on a calm monsoon evening and it was magical, but I can only imagine how spectacular the sunsets must be on a clear day! A small tip: the roads are quite narrow, so it's best to drive slowly and cautiously, especially if a bus comes from the opposite side. If you need to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature without traveling far from Ernakulam, this is the place to be. Highly recommended for a soulful escape. I've posted few photos and videos from our visit to give you a glimpse of its serene beauty!
