This temple is by far , one of the most peaceful and powerful temples in Kochi city. The main deities here are Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu placed inside separate temple complexes. The Lord Shiva is in the form of Santha Moorthy seated on a lotus. Inside, one can find Mahaganapathi with Saraswathy and Lord Murugan as well as a swaymbhu Kiratha moorthy. Outside, one can find Ganapathi under a peepal tree, Lord Ayyappan, Yogishwaran and Gulikan together. The Lord Vishnu here is in the form of ‘Vadathevar’. Mainly dedicated for ancestors’s rituals, one can offer ‘bali tharpanam’ every day here. Outside there is Sri Krishna and Nagadevas. There is a huge pond in front filled with lots of fish. It’s believed that one can make any wish come true once a special diya is offered here to Lord Shiva for 21 consecutive Mondays. The main priest and all those assisting here treats every...

Besides the idol of these main deities, the temple also houses idol of lord Yogeeswara, Sreekrishna, elephant god Ganapathi, Subrahmanya, goddess Saraswathy, Gulikan and serpent god. 'Thanthram', the right to offer poojas in the temple is held by members of Puliyannor Illam, a famous local brahmin family. The poojas are conducted three times a day...

A calm and serene place just suited for a temple precinct. The highlight is the temple pond so neat and clean spanning over 1acre and so well maintained. It adds beauty to the whole temple compound. Despite being close to city the atmosphere is so calm and peaceful. Temple is famous for performing rites of deceased. A nice temple worth visiting.

Very nice temple with a huge temple pond. There are two temples side by side one with main deity Lord Shiva and other Mahavishnu. Two bhadrakali temples (Pattupurakkal) one north and other south are also to be visited. During annual festival, also known as utsavam, Lord Shiva and two devi's unite in a grand procession between these temples.
