Location & Accessibility Parsi Point is one of the most famous viewpoints in Panchgani, located on the way to Mahabaleshwar. The spot is easily accessible by car or taxi from the main town (around 2.5 km from Panchgani bus stand). Parking and small eateries are available nearby, making it convenient even for families with children or elderly travellers.

Scenic Beauty Perched on a hill, Parsi Point offers sweeping views of the Krishna Valley, the serene Dhom Dam backwaters, and the rolling Western Ghats. On a clear day, the panorama stretches for miles – misty mornings and golden sunsets are especially breathtaking. The viewpoint is well-maintained with railings for safety and a few shaded benches to sit and enjoy the breeze.

Atmosphere & Experience The spot is relatively uncrowded early in the morning and just before sunset – ideal times for photography. Local vendors sell corn on the cob, chikki, and fresh berries. The air is cool and pleasant throughout most of the year, and the soft wind enhances the hill-station charm.

Photography & Memories This is a photographer’s delight: wide-angle shots capture the valley and the winding river below; close-ups of the flora, birds, and the changing sky make for excellent compositions. Many visitors find the natural light here perfect for portraits. Even smartphone cameras can produce postcard-worthy pictures.

Tips for Visitors

Visit at sunrise or sunset for the best light and minimal crowds.

Carry a light jacket during monsoon or winter months.

Keep your surroundings clean; use the waste bins provided.

Local tea/coffee stalls add to the experience, but cash is handy for small purchases.

Overall Impression Parsi Point lives up to its reputation as one of Panchgani’s most iconic viewpoints. Whether you’re a nature lover, photographer, or simply seeking a peaceful stop on the Mahabaleshwar–Panchgani route, this place offers a refreshing break with unforgettable vistas.

Stunning Views and a Perfect Spot for Relaxation

Parsi Point in Panchgani is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to this beautiful hill station. I recently had the pleasure of spending an afternoon at this scenic viewpoint, and it was an experience to remember. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by breathtaking panoramic views of the lush valleys, winding rivers, and distant hills. The vista is nothing short of spectacular, especially when the sky is clear and you can see for miles.

The atmosphere at Parsi Point is serene and peaceful, making it an ideal spot for relaxation. Whether you’re an avid photographer looking to capture the natural beauty of the Western Ghats or simply someone who wants to unwind and take in the scenery, Parsi Point has something to offer. There are a few benches and shaded areas where you can sit and enjoy the view, making it a great place for a picnic with family or friends.

One of the things I appreciated about Parsi Point was its accessibility. It’s easy to reach by car, with ample parking available nearby. The area is well-maintained, and there are a few small stalls selling snacks, drinks, and souvenirs, which adds to the convenience of the visit. However, it’s important to note that the place can get quite crowded during peak tourist seasons, so if you prefer a quieter experience, visiting early in the morning or on a weekday is advisable.

What really sets Parsi Point apart, though, is the view during sunset. As the sun begins to dip behind the hills, the entire landscape is bathed in a golden glow, creating a magical and almost surreal atmosphere. It’s a sight that will stay with you long after you’ve left.

Overall, Parsi Point is a gem in Panchgani that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, tranquility, and convenience. Whether you’re visiting Panchgani for a day or staying longer, make sure to carve out some time to experience the stunning views at Parsi Point you won’t be...

This is one of the better spots to view the Dhom Dam valley. It is not a very big area. The view from here is very beautiful. Mostly, you can feel the nice cool breeze blowing up from the valley.

This point is one of the 2 well known view points in Panchgani, the other one being the Sydney Point. The Sydney Point is right at the entrance of the Panchgani town area, next to the Toll Collection booth. Of course, the Syndey Point has the better sunset view but the parking space here is severely limited. This is where the Parsi Point scores more...a) Decent amount of parking space - there is a Pay-N-Park area across the road from the Parsi Point b) Great valley view.

The Parsi Point is at the other end of the Panchgani town area. If you are travelling from Wai, you will reach the toll collection booth, just before the Sydney Point. Then, you have to drive up to the town market area a couple of kilometres ahead. Once you cross the Panchgani Market area, you have to drive another 1.5-2 kilometres on the highway going towards Mahabaleshwar to reach the Parsi Point.

It has quite a few stalls selling snacks, hats, caps, games and a couple of telescopes to view the prominent points seen from that point. They have a Rs.1000 fine for littering... So, be a responsible tourist and keep the area clean.

In fact, even if there is no fine for littering in any tourist spot, we should take care not to litter the area and help keep every tourist spot pristine.

A good place to sit and relax , watch the beautiful valley and enjoy the breeze. Remember, it is not a very big area and tends to be crowded during the peak holiday weekends. They have built a public urinal here which is very useful in...

My excursion to Parsi Point in Mahabaleshwar was truly enchanting. As I stood atop this vantage point, the sprawling beauty of the Sahyadri Ranges unfolded before my eyes, painting a mesmerizing tableau. The picturesque landscapes, draped in hues of green, provided an awe-inspiring backdrop against the canvas of the sky. The serenity of the surroundings, coupled with the crisp mountain air, created a tranquil ambiance. It was as if nature had crafted a masterpiece, inviting me to immerse myself in its grandeur.
