A peaceful oasis in the midst of bustling Powai, this garden is a reprieve. We visited mid-afternoon on a Saturday towards the end of March and yet it was serene and cool despite the sweltering heat outside. The park has a beautiful, expansive water feature and little winding pathways around it. Plenty of benches and faux rocks are placed around the pond for people to unwind. There are two cascading waterfall-like structures too that provide that beautiful gurgling sounds of a stream that can calm down any weary soul. While there are a lot of people milling about, the place doesn't seem crowded at any time, which is great in a city like Mumbai. Overall, it's an amazing place to spend some time at, whether with someone or just by yourself. Take a book and make it a date with yourself. Just ensure you reach early and find a relatively secluded place to avoid the chatter of playing children later.

Amidst Mumbai Suburb, Nirvana Park at Powai’s posh Hiranandani Gardens township should not be missed as it is one of the only such parks in Western suburban location. The feeling inside park is as it is named ‘Nirvana’, a blissful feeling between lush greenery and shades of trees, varieties of flora, a big pond with White, Orange and Black fishes in groups, Green grass lawn and perfect place for kids. Lets get more details about the Park timings, Entry Charges, Exact Location Address in Hiranandani and Contact number of Garden authorities..” Important Note 2019 : If you are first timer to this garden, Kindly note that people and auto drivers do not know this garden with name ‘Nirvana’. Many call it BMC Garden of Powai as it is maintained by Municipal Corporation and the Entry Gate do not have the name ‘Nirvana Park’ on board, Thank You

One of the best parks in Mumbai - and thankfully still discreet. It's well maintained and so beautiful. There is a koi pond with tons of fishes that are easily visible, we even saw a few black swans. There is a lot of greenery, the bridges over water need a little more maintenance but they are walkable. There are winding pathway, places to sit and enjoy (a few benches are broken) There's a small treehouse and the view from there is incredible. Hard to believe that a park like this is there in Powai. Can be visited any time of the day, in the evening it's gets crowded. There's also a kids playground inside. It's also a great place to click photos. A must visit with friends, also good for couples. Please DO NOT litter and maintain the cleanliness.

This is a nostalgic garden. My friend said she used to play with her schoolmates here. Some 30 years ago. The park is still green with lake full of fishes, bamboo shrubs, beautifully curated plants and tree house for kids. There are seats in and around. Couples can sit on to enjoy few moments together. Kids love the fish gathering. Location is awesome, close to JVLR , Powai Lake. Kid's play area is huge. Toilet is not great. Seems out of maintenance. Food stalls are located outside the park. My friend told me that the Hiranandani passed away the maintenance to BMC. Previously in her childhood there used to be a basic ticket fee for entry. Now its free. I felt grateful to my friend for taking me to the park. 🥰

Nirvana Park at Powai, Mumbai is based on Japanese landscape architecture, with a small artificial lake at the core, surrounded by beautiful landscape garden from all sides. It’s really fascinating to witness such a masterpiece, spread across in just 4 acres area. The Garden is open from morning 6 to 12 and evening 3 to 9. The closest railway station is Kanjurmang and Vikhroli. You can take BEST Bus No 602 from Kanjurmarg Railway Station (West) OR 392 from Vikhroli Railway Station (West) and get down right in front of garden, at Gateway Plaza Bus stop, the next bus stop after IIT Powai. This garden is now renamed as Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Udyan.

I believe this place used to be better earlier when they charged 5rs as an entry ticket.. Its clean, with plenty of greenery, tall trees etc. There's a small water pond, n has beautiful Koi fishes! Although, its sad how people still throw plastic bottles in water...its high time people should STOP doing tht.. And hello! they are Koi fishes for God sake! 🙄😑 Garden has 2-3 security guards. So bad for couples 👎🏻 and good families 👍🏻 Photography with camera is prohibited. Its a good one out of all, in Hiranandani/powai premises. Make it a paid one and add a bit of more maintenance... It will attract better crowd.
