Maa barunei temple is a Hindu Religion temple. It is saty in barunei hill. Barunei hill is a small hill in khorda district. if you want to visit temple then Approximately 200 steps has to be crossed. Spring water flows down from the hill all year round. A cave is located on the hill. A reservoir called Sitakunda is located on top of the hill. A popular tourist place in khorda District. Currently Orissa government has made it very beautiful. Anyone can visit here with friends or family. Indian soldiers have a training camp here every year for several days. It is just 600 meters from the state highway.

A fair is held here for three days during Rajo Sankranti. A large number of people visit this temple throughout the year. From December to February there are feasts to mark the new year. Good temple and a good area for picnic and feasts. Covered with trees and environment is nice. Parking places are available. You can get utensils and other things for cooking nearby; there is a large area there for that. The stairs are flat so you won't have any problems walking to the temple. But the stairs to the top of the hill are broken and thin, don't suggest going above. There is a sign saying girls aren't allowed to climb to the top. Priests are good. All puja thalis are available near the temple.

What I missed though is that the waterfall has been converted to a canal connected to a pond. I wanted to see the waterfall.
