It is a revered pilgrimage site drawing many of devotees annually. The journey to the temple involves a challenging trek through picturesque landscapes, adding a spiritual and adventurous dimension to the pilgrimage.
The temple is dedicated to Goddess Vaishno Devi, an embodiment of the Hindu Goddess Mahalakshmi. Devotees believe that a visit to this sacred shrine fulfills their wishes and brings blessings. The trek passes through diverse terrains, from dense forests to steep hills, creating a profound experience of devotion and endurance.
The sanctum sanctorum houses three rock formations representing the three divine forms of the Goddess. The atmosphere is charged with religious fervor as pilgrims chant hymns and embark on this transformative pilgrimage.

The shopkeeper sitting at the shop is a fraud, we checked the cctv footage, the shopkeeper left the shop after we left our shoes at his care! When asked he said nobody came to the shop after us, while cctv clearly shows many people came and he himself left (maybe he took the shoes himself, can't say for sure, because his shop's cctv didn't work and last shop's cctv couldn't cover the shoe area and was blurry). The shopkeeper has installed 3 non working cameras, very odd! We had to check last shop's cctv footage. Please deposit shoes at shoe counter only which is on the right side at the starting of mandir premises and easy to miss as there is no sign.
And we noticed another family's kid shoes was also stolen from the same shop, though that family didn't bother and left. But this seems to be a trend of organized crime with this shop. The guy sitting at the shop is not the shop owner so maybe shop owner has no idea that his shop is being...
Read moreVaishno Devi Mandir in Amritsar is a beautiful and peaceful temple that offers a serene spiritual experience. The temple is inspired by the famous Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu, and the architecture reflects a similar vibe, with a cave-like entrance and intricate carvings.
The atmosphere inside the temple is calm and filled with devotion. The pathway through the cave adds a unique touch, making it feel like a mini-pilgrimage. The temple is very clean and well-maintained, and the staff are helpful and polite.
The temple isn’t as crowded as some other major pilgrimage sites, making it a perfect place for quiet reflection and prayer. It's also conveniently located within Amritsar, making it an easy visit for those exploring the city. I highly recommend a visit for anyone seeking peace and blessings during their trip...
