If you’re visiting Amritsar, I would recommend you to visit Hotel Regalia Grand at your own risk. Before you step into this grand hotel please note that you will & must encounter the following situations for the true grand experience: As soon as you enter the hotel premises all tired from your travel, you will be greeted a very friendly receptionist who will look at you and speak to you like he’s about to charge you for murder. The “H”in hospitality is silent in this hotel. The woman running the hotel is practically a man ,here’s why: She lacks basic emotional sensibility Zero etiquettes on how to treat guests Will make you feel as welcome as you make the rats feel in your home. The Deluxe Rooms will make you speechless; no handles in the doors, broken cupboards, dirty and torn bedsheets, blankets, and pillows are just a few of the many luxuries you will get here P.S: Don’t shut the bathroom door when you use it or you’ll end up getting locked inside for the full experience (I sure did- ended up with the staff coming up with tools ti break open the door) The bathroom is immaculate- leaking sink, hot water at a temperature of -16 degrees and so much more.
I would leave it at this and let you experience the infamous, ‘pehle istemaal karo phir vishwaas karo’....

Your experience could vary mine was worst i forgot my charger in hotel room so i called the hotel and told them to keep my charger safely as my returning flight for this trip was from Amritsar only so i would collect it from them on last day. So on last day i repeatedly called them and ask if they could bring my charger to main road as it's not easy for a car to go inside. They straight away denied and said that I'll have to take it from hotel door i tried to explain them that i was already late for my flight and traffic made it worst but they denied only to agree when i offered them some money shows how money minded the staff is. Even after that when i arrived they said our ma'am has taken your charger she will arrive in 20 mins. So i couldn't collect my charger and heard scolding from everyone from airport as i was the last for boarding. This charger wasn't worth that much but atleast they could have told it would take 20 mins from start only i wouldn't have travelled extra 30...

This was scary since there was no electricity back up for a good 30mins, leaving us in complete darkness in the room. Surprisingly the corridor had lights. During this time, the hotel reception number was kept engaged (probably deliberately) most of the time and it took them 30mins to arrange for back up. Highly compromising safety. Those 30mins of darkness and no one answering the call at the reception felt like complete SOS. For dinner, the non-veg item was missing, when we asked what about it, they mentioned, it can be arranged but y'all will have to dine in the outdoor dining area since non-veg can't be eaten inside. Which took us by absolute surprise and reflects the thought process of the hotel management to be okay with such discrimination. Highly unstable internet provision.
