Camp Cherry Farm — Attraction in Ramtek Taluka

Geminids Meteor Shower: Night, Friday 13 Dec-14 Dec 2024 Organised by: CAC- Allrounder Adventures at Cherry Farm Ramtek.

I had the pleasure of joining with my colleague, an organised meteor shower sighting event with CAC-Allrounder. I must say it was an unforgettable experience.

From the start, we were given a heart touching personalised welcome by an adventure enthusiast- Mr. Sandesh. The evening was setting in with a touch of cold breeze. We were served hot tea n coffee and hot bhajiyas by a very loving kaka ji. After tea, another expert adventurist Mr. Ajay took us for a short walk around the farm to a temple which is more than 1200 years old - Karpur Baoli.

Once we got back to the farm, we had the opportunity to finally meet the true gem behind this 'concept adventure themed campsite' - Mr Amol Kanthe. Amol ji is a passionate and expert adventure sports trainer who has such a quirky sense of humour. His passion for nature and adventure is seen from the way he has made this beautiful adventure-haven amidst nature.

We had finger-licking traditional dinner served with love by the extended family of the Farm, alongside some of his great friends, each one was an ocean of knowledge and an expert of their respective fields. We were privileged to meet his wife Mrs. Ekta and his son - Daksh: The Ironman.

Coming to the Meteor Shower sighting event, it was planned with exceptional comfort and professionalism, ensuring that we had everything we needed for an enjoyable night under the stars. Mr. Ajay-an expert of the skies, initially helped us sight planets like Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and other constellations through the telescope. As the event was closed to full moon night (though we would have preferred dark phase of moon for the event 😇) we enjoyed watching the moon too through the scope. Mr. Ajay- Seasoned stargazer, briefed us about the rising of Gemini and the meteor shower's expected peak and best viewing times, which added to the excitement. He was friendly in answering all our questions promptly.

The location chosen was perfect – as best as it could be, given the bright moon to affect the visibility. The farm is quite scenic scenic and has a peaceful environment which set the tone for an immersive, nature-filled experience. Plus, there was ample space for everyone to spread out comfortably.

The meteor shower was nothing short of Spectacular. It was pure magic when we just laid back and watched the sky. We were fortunate enough to witness an abundance of shooting stars, many of which left long, bright trails that lasted several seconds. The faint ones were difficult to spot with the bright background light of the moon. Mr. Ajay shared some great educational details on the origins of the meteors, which made the experience even more enriching. Felt great as a community event where fellow stargazers shared in the awe and excitement. The mattresses, blankets and hot tea/coffee kept us cozy & awake & energised. Their efficient and friendly team ensured everything went smoothly. One word for the experience - AWESTRUCK❣️ 😇

In the morning on 14 Dec 2024, Mr. Tushar a youthful adventurer, took us trekking through the Ramgiri hill. We enjoyed Khindsi lake and visited Trivikrama temple from 5th century, Kalidas Smarak, Ramtek temple, Kevala Narasimha temple, Rudra Narasimha temple, Kiran view point along the trek. We revisited the Gem- Karpur Baoli. Not to miss our furry companions- Leo (a Labrador) and Jango-Dubey ji (a Shih Tzu) who accompanied us or rather lead us throughout the trek.

This meteor shower sighting was an incredible experience. I highly recommend joining their future events. It’s the perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and connect with the natural world in a truly magical way.

We had the amazing opportunity to visit Camp Cherry Farm, Ramtek, Nagpur on December 19th, 2021. Had gone there with zero expectation expecting it to be like other resorts. But i couldn't be more wrong. It is a fun place where families can actually enjoy time together doing so many activities. Where to start. First and foremost the weather was beautiful. They have facilities for camping with tents and bonfire and stuff. And they actually give you a proper camping experience. If you are opting for day visit like me and my family they have all sorts of activities like kayaking, rope climbing, obstacle course, tractor rides, shooting and archery areas, swings for adults, kids zone with trampoline and swings and slides, and cycling and many more. Best they had also incorporated games from pre mobile time like marbles, bawra or top, lagori. They have sitting areas with tents for each family with a cot, a charpoi, and two benches so they can relax after the activities or elderly parents Or kids can relax. Talking about food amazing home made food with breakfast, lunch, and evening snacks, fruits, tea coffee all inclusive in day charges. And tasty because all are locally sourced produced. Had the best guava today it looked and was hard but was extremely sweet. Yummm. Best part is the hospitality not just by the staff but the family who owns it. They personally take care of each guest the son, wife, mother, children everyone. I was blown away by the experience. Beautiful initiative by Mr. Amol and his family especially his wife Ekta and his mother who took such good care of us. He used his experience being an NCC cadet to the fullest not just in creating this place but also giving back to the society. Giving children an opportunity to experience nature and train if they wish for defense services. I wish I could photograph and explain my complete experience. Thank you do much Camp Cherry Farm. We visited Cherry Farms on 4/07/22. Had done booking of the Day Programme a night before. Since we visited this place on a weekday, we were the ONLY visitors and oh my my !!! This place really felt like it's our own place with Nature's beauty at its best !! As we enter we were warmly welcomed, as we spent the day we were very sincerely guided throughout and as we leave our hearts were filled with immense gratefulness and closeness with nature ! As in our package we visited a 3rd century temple (karpur baoli), we did a 500m trek, we did a few rope activities and explored nature ! Also, we did Kayaking. It was not included in our package though. Had to pay separately for it. Also, the food !!! It was super tasty ! Beginning from coffee, breakfast (Poha, upma, channa, Puri), Lunch (Dal fry, rice, Patodi rassa, jhumka bhakri, papad, 5 types of achaar, kusumbri, curry, raita, jeera aloo, gulab jamun and kheer), Nimbu paani and finally bhel and coffee again for high tea.

So, superrrrr happy with the activities, service and food!!

Charges per head for day programme were Rs. 1000/- and for Kayaking Rs....
