Mineral Museum — Attraction in Tamil Nadu

The Mineral Museum along Kalpakkam Road in Mahabalipuram is a peaceful and fascinating place that pairs perfectly with the Seashell Museum nearby. It’s smaller and quiet, but filled with beautiful displays of minerals and gemstones from around the world. The stones are set on neat shelves with soft lighting that really brings out their natural sparkle and color.

What I appreciated most was how informative everything was. Each specimen has a description so you learn what it is and where it’s from. There are even some rare and colorful geodes that feel almost magical when you see them up close.

The layout invites you to browse slowly rather than hurry through. It’s a calm space, and if you enjoy geology or simply love pretty rocks, this place will catch your interest. It’s ideal to spend thirty minutes here, but I ended up staying longer just admiring the variety of shapes and colors.

The museum is clean and well-maintained, and they have restroom facilities inside. Admission is included with the Seashell Museum ticket, which makes it an easy addition to your visit. It’s great for families, kids, or anyone who loves nature and learning...

Great place to impart knowledge about the minerals and crystals in the minds of the kids. This place is strategically located inside the sea shells museum and the dinosaurs park 🏞️. This Museum is a wonderful place for kids to see and get amazed about the minerals. It has many minerals, crystals, sea shells collection and pearls and they are all showcased in a fabulous manner. To attract the people, they added famous Lion Statue of Singapore and Sea Horses statue made using the sea shells, many models of dinosaurs.They look very so beautiful. The entrance fee we bought is a combo ticket Rs.300/person 5years of age for Sea Shells Museum, Dinosaurs park and minerals museum Aquarium. You can check my photos for more interesting views...

Great place to visit with kids.. please take kids to this place to gain a knowledge on Minerals and crystals. This place is located just next to the ticket counter reception, inside they have arranged the 3D painting will left you in a shock. They charge some penny for taking photos inside the premise. They have a dedicated area for minerals well maintained. Good place to visit. Ticket price for each is 💯if we go for a combo would be cheaper and price go vary. Please visit this place and enjoy your day.
