Bodhiwoods Resort — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

First of all thanks to Prabhakaran who helped / managed to complement all the inconveniences that I had faced.

Overall, not value for money as the service needs a revamping / need improvement. It's a costly one and anyone would expect a exceptional service. I didn't pay just 2k per night and I only got a normal/regular service from any hotel I would have got.

CONS: I still strongly feel either the restaurant in this resort is understaffed or they mismanaged to handle the customers on time. When I went in there was around 20 ppl and most of them were waiting for food for about 45 mins+. my family as a vegetarian... I got a chicken fried rice instead what I asked for... Veg pulov, Veg fried rice. I had complained about it and I was somehow complemented.. However, its still there hard on my mind. How can such things happen at such a small restaurant. The ppl well know what happened after that and how bad they served it and how it all ended. The manager also apologised for it. Another person, Prabhakar also apologised. But it was not his mistake.. The restaurant didn't know what to serve to whom and when..

In continuation to 2nd point, I had complained abt it to the front desk before I left the place and I got a shocking comment from the front desk lady. She said.. "Usually vegetarians won't come to this place". So can I now brand this place strictly for non-vegetarians?? I should have got a full refund just for such a comment!!. Instead I just walked away.

It's a good kid theme resort. But there are no strict precautions for such a resort that is near a water clogged area were insects, snakes might appear. Thankfully I didn't see any of them but I notice a kid was bitten by something and his skin was swollen a little. I think it was near the swimming pool. I also not sure how well the pool were maintained. It's doesn't look neat. It was rainy and so I didn't get to use many of the facilities as it looked soggy and dirty. Especially swing, slide and archery.

PROS: They managed to keep the area somehow without water-clogging despite the rain . People are there to sweep the area. Bird Aviary. I liked it. The person who manage /maintain the bird is friendly. Prabhakaran.. A person like him is a must for any resort who is very polite and kind. Duck/Swan.. My kid enjoy seeing it. The rooms are not that spacious. But good for 3 people. Wish they had proper chairs inside. Food is tasty. Restaurant has got some good songs played where the kids...

Nice beautiful place with lot of greenery arround. The chalets are small cute independent houses with a small sitout, the main room and bathroom. The chalets are made of wood with interiors also giving a wooden look  all are neat and clean. If you are looking for a serene, quiet place to stay with lots of greenery, then Bodhiwoods resort is the place to choose. We checked in for a one night stay at the resort. We took a premium chalet. These are cute small independent cottages , made of wood and interior finished with wood like tiles and sound proof walls. There is a small sitout, and the room is compact with twin beds, two side tables. A small corner with electric kettle and cups to make tea or coffee. The interior looks nice with small wall paintings and subdued lighting. The bathroom is spacious and all fittings are new. There is no hair dryer. The house keeping doesn't provide dental kits or shaving kit. There is no sitting arrangement in the room. Two small chairs are provided in the sitout, which if required can be brought in the room. Overall the room is well maintained, but with minimum of extras. Outside there are nice well lit pathways with lot of trees ,flowers and green grass everywhere. There small summer houses where one can sit and read or simply enjoy the greeners. An added attraction is the aviary , where there lots of parrots and parakeets. Very interesting to go and watch them . The grey african parrot keeps greeting people in Tamil and English. There is a small activity centre where we can play carroms. Chess pr other board games. There are 3 small well maintained swimming pools, The resort is a lower category than 5 star or 4 star resorts, because the area is small, the number of staff working are much lower. The restaurant is a small affair. The menu is limited and the complimentary breakfast is also limited. Overall the place is great if you like quiet and calm atmosphere. The price I feel is on the higher side when you compare with other resorts. Maybe they should rethink on the tariff or improve the restaurant and provide...

The perception of a beach resort is always fascinating however, there are some exceptions which leave a long lasting impression in your mind. Bodhi woods resort is one of that kind. ||Location:|The resort is located away from the beach however close to other famous monuments of Mahabalipuram. Centrally Located in the serene atmosphere this resort is accessible at a comfortable distance from all the places and offers a peaceful stay with your family and loved ones. The main attraction being the private bird Aviary which houses a good number of birds of variant species and offers you a lifetime experience of interaction with birds. Also, it brings you closer to nature's creation giving you a lifetime enrichment. ||Rooms:|There are various chalets available for stay. Beautifully designed and loaded with amenities, this resort offers you the luxury of staying in the lap of natural beauty. Air-conditioning was perfect, hot and cold water was available round the clock. Linens were cleaned and property is maintained well. ||Food:|Their in-house restaurant offers some really delicious platters on the table. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful and well thought off with pictures of the birds of their Aviary. North Indian food, Chinese food and South Indian food is their forte. Italian could improve a bit but overall a very satisfying experience. ||Service:|Excellent service and staff. Shankar is really jovial and helps in taking care of the little needs of the guests. They offer room service also which was very prompt. The check-in and check out process was smooth and hassle free. ||Property:|Beautifully planned and well lit property. The swimming pool and pond needs a bit of maintenance along with the common furniture available in the premises. The cycle park is a nice option however the cycles need maintenance and repair also. These are the areas of improvement which may further enhance the staying experience. ||Overall a wonderful staycation for me and my family. ||All the best wishes to the management.
