This is an ancient temple for Lord Shiva and is located on Poruru-Kundrathur road, a Km away from Gerugampakkam bus stand. The Lord of the House is Neelakandeswarar and, as the name suggests, the temple has reference to the mythology of Shiva drinking the poison that emanated from the Milky Ocean when Devas and Asuras churned in looking for elixir. Goddess is named Adi Kamakshi. The temple also houses the idols/ shrines of Sankat Hara Ganapti, Vishnu, Dakshinamurthy, Durga, as it is in all Shiva temples in Tamilnadu.
