Even though this place (Amrapur Ghat) claims to be run by a charitable organization, the people running it are most unhelpful. Horrible attitude and would definitely not recommend going here ever!
After my wallet got stolen from my clothes (even though I was nearby along with other family members), we spoke to the cops and they told US to go check CCTV "if we wanted". We went there and the manager (Yash Prem Prakash) told us the CCTV incharge (Sant Himanshu) wasn't there, and to come back later. We called later (multiple times) and he made excuses until finally saying "cctv person is there but I am out". Somehow spoke to the CCTV incharge, who insisted that it is our fault after all so he can't (or won't) help.
God knows how they run these charities! 😡. They take donations from fellow Sindhis, but refuse to help them.
Place is - Amrapur Ghat run by Prem Prakash Ashram, Haridwar
Higher authorities should investigate.
Place deserves minus stars...

Amrapur Ghat is one of the most serene and well-maintained ghats in Haridwar. Unlike the crowded Har Ki Pauri, this ghat offers a peaceful atmosphere for meditation, snan (holy dip), or just sitting by the sacred Ganga.
What I loved:
Clean water and well-kept surroundings.
Less crowded, ideal for a calm spiritual experience.
You can do Ganga snan peacefully without rush or noise.
Nearby ashrams and saints' residences add to the divine vibe.
Perfect for sunrise/sunset views along the river.
Suggestions:
Best visited early morning or just before sunset.
Carry your own mat or small towel if you plan to sit/meditate.
Respect the sanctity of the place – avoid littering.
If you're looking to connect with the Ganga in silence, away from the commercial chaos, Amrapur Ghat is a must-visit. A place where one can feel the real "Haridwar" – sacred gateway...
