3 different waterfalls in a jungle all to yourself. Super clear water to swim in, you could take a picnic and spend the day.
No one else there at 10AM, I imagine it stays pretty quiet throughout the day.
The price is a little high, (50K entrance, parking was free), compared to the nearby Banyumala Waterfall (30K). On the hike down I planned to be disappointed… how wrong I was! It took my breath away, the photos don’t do this place justice.
Hike down is steep; and longer than the nearby Banyumala (if you do both, there is a 15min drive between the two waterfalls). I hiked in flip flops and had no issues. But I am pretty confident wearing flip flops. If in doubt wear trainers. The hike down took 10-15 minutes, of course it may take longer to get back up (depending on fitness).
Parking is by the ticket entrance at the top. The ticket office tried to sell us a package (showing us photos) for using their swing, bird nests etc. They didn’t tell us the price (as we interrupted them) but the tickets on the desk were 250K!!! I can’t comment on what was/was not included in this fee. We mentioned that we only wanted to see the waterfall; the staff took different tickets from a draw and charged 50K. I must add that I did not feel pressured to purchase the package (compared to other places we have visited), the staff were responsive to our requests and this did not taint our...
Read moreWe loved this one. There are three different waterfalls next to each other, and we were the only ones down there for about two hours!! We got there about 12pm on a Saturday too.
There wasn’t any waiting to get your pictures and videos in the water like there are at all the other waterfalls I’ve visited.
It cost 50IDR per person to get in. You can pay extra if you want a picture on the swings or birds nest that they’ve constructed on the way down but we didn’t bother.
It’s not a super strenuous climb on the way back up for someone of slightly above average fitness, and the paths and steps are pretty well built. Perhaps a couple of quick pit stops for a swig of water and to catch your breath.
I would post some pictures but seeing as I had the place to myself I had my shorts off most of...
Read more3 beautiful waterfalls to explore, after driving down a steep and long road that is not in perfect condition. 50k RP, a bit more expensive than others but definitely worth it. You can see the tall one just after 2 minutes walking from above. There you find a huge swing as well. If you want to go down, expect lots of stairs but that’s not unusual if you want to see a huge waterfall, walk about 10 minutes down, 15-20 minutes up depending your condition. Very nice and friendly woman carrier of the falls. Only note for the carrier of the waterfall, the wooden bridge could be repaired again. Didn’t bother us because we went closer right under the huge...
