LaGriya Guest House Sanur — Hotel in Denpasar Timur

I recently stayed at this guest house, and what started out as a great jolly experience turned out to be a negative one. The most pressing issue was the unreliable and slow internet, which made carrying out my daily activities difficult. Despite raising this issue with the landlord several times and repeatedly asking them to fix the problem, they became rude and unhelpful, which was a major disappointment.

However, my stay was not entirely negative. The helpers and the elderly couple who lived in the guest house were extremely friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. They definetly made my stay more enjoyable. (10/10 on this)

The guest house's location was convenient, but it was overpriced for what it provided. I was surprised to discover that I was paying significantly more than what was advertised on a local application. Furthermore, the rooms that were supposedly only available for yearly rent were constantly occupied by different people every 2-3 weeks, calling the authenticity of the claim into question.

The living area was not without flaws as well. The bathroom was poorly designed, lacking a sink and becoming stuffy as a result of a lack of windows and a broken vent. Mold grew on the walls of the bathroom and kitchen, which was a concern for hygiene. Finally, the constant and repetitive internet problems made it impossible to work, make video calls, or even browse the internet without interruption. Despite repeated requests for assistance, I was told to use my own mobile data, despite the fact that internet access was included in the price I paid. Overall, I was dissatisfied with my stay and chose to depart early. Given the issues with the internet, living space, and discovering that I was paying far more than I should have, as well as being told that the other larger rooms were not available when they clearly were to everyone else.

More Than Just a Stay - A Truly nice Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My friend and I have just finished a 3 month-long stay at this wonderful guesthouse and we are already planning our return. This wasn't just a rental, it felt like being welcomed into a family.

First, the apartment itself is perfect for a longterm workation. The living room is spacious and the unit is very comfortable for sleeping on every night. The private kitchen is a dream, we cooked daily with the full-sized fridge, stove, and warm our food in the oven. Having that independence made our long stay so much easier and enjoyable.

the bathroom is clean, no problem at all

The shared WiFi is Good they also can help you arrange your private connection if you need it with extra fee. It's powerful and reliable, which takes away so much stress.

i hear they also build new nice private villa nearby, you also can choose and match with your budget 😊

But what truly made our stay exceptional were our hosts, Putu Arik with Team and family, They are the kindest, most helpful local Balinese people you could hope to meet. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel at home. Putu helped us rent a scooter for a fair price, gave us brilliant recommendations for local warungs (that we never would have found on our own), and even showed us how to make a simple offering for the morning ceremony. When I had a small question about the oven, he was at the door in minutes to help. Their warmth and generosity gave us a genuine insight into Balinese culture that you simply don't get at a big hotel or villa.

If you are looking for a comfortable, fully equipped base for a long trip where you can also connect with wonderful local people, this is the place. You get a great apartment and incredible hosts. No need to think twice – book it! Haha

We booked that place seeing some pictures on agoda. The rooms looked very nice and clean and the garden sooo chilly...no surprises everything was that perfect when we get there :-) the staff is super friendly and helpful. If Harrick is here he will do anything to help you with your needs. The rest of the family doesn't speak much english but are adorable people 😍 We finally decided to stay at all our stops in Bali after Harrick accepted to keep our luggages when we moved in Florès and Lembongan.|The suburb is calm and authentic, nice ricefields 10min away from the guesthouse at the world peace gong! (Good to chill end of afternoon). You can get scooter and bicycle rental from the place and taxi service. |A/C, store room, hot shower, free coffee and fruits when you get back from the busy town...can't ask for better...
