The Beach: Good beach; light surfing is welcomed here. Scene: Most people are waiting for sunset, so yes, it's great when sunset. Family-friendly: I would say yes; for lots of them gather here, especially local people. Facilities: You can buy your needs at nearby warongs. There are lots of them. And if you're not satisfied, go a bit farther before the beach, on main road. There are a lot of good cafes.
As I'm a local, and during open hours, they charge me a very cheap price, and I believe it's the same for foreigners, so no biggies...
Read moreA lot of trash und wild dogs, eating the trash. There is a small river going into the sea and since it comes from the village I am not sure how pure the water is. You cannot easily cross the river so you cannot just walk along the beach (at least to the right side). However, there are a lot of waves and its not crowded. There is a beautiful temple directly at the sea. There are huts/baracks with people selling food, but they are in a very poor condition with a lot of trash around them. The sand is very dark and coarse and the water is not that transparent turqouise blue which everyone wants...
