Little Riper Cafe is hands down my favorite place in Kedungu and somewhere I keep coming back to, year after year. I’ve been lucky enough to visit over the past three years first at their old location and now at their new spot, which has completely stolen my heart.
It’s my Sunday ritual, my happy place, and honestly, a bit of a second home. It’s not just the amazing food (though trust me, it’s amazing). It’s the warm, family-like atmosphere that greets you the second you step in. Everyone on the team makes you feel like you truly belong. And then there’s Eric and his wife genuine and kindhearted people! They’re the soul of this place, and you can feel how much they pour their hearts into every little detail.
The food here is next level. If you stop by, you have to try the breakfast burrito—it’s been my absolute favorite since day one, and I doubt that’s ever going to change. And 5 minute scooter ride from the beach, it is perfect. Cozy, relaxing, and it has this magical vibe that makes you want to stay forever. Whether you’re grabbing a bite after a surf or just soaking in the Kedungu chill, it’s the kind of place that leaves you feeling better than when you arrived.
As someone who’s in the process of opening my own coffee shop, I’m beyond inspired by Eric and his wife. They’re so invested in their business, their team, and their customers it’s rare to see that kind of passion and care these days, especially in Bali. Meeting them has been such a blessing, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
If you’re anywhere near Canggu, do yourself a favor and stop by Little Riper in Kedungu. I can’t recommend it enough. it’s one of those places that stays with you long after you’ve left. So much love for this little...
Read moreWe came to Little Ripper after our friends recommendations. The place looks great.
We wanted to have a great lunch, some coffee, and work little bit in air conditioner area with the laptop cause the day was EXTREMELY hot..
The staff didn't allow us to work in A/C are despite of the fact that this area is huge and it was TOTALLY empty.
I fully understand when it is prohibited to work with laptops during the peak hours when you have a lot of customers. You need to accommodate as much people as you can. You want to have a vibe...No problem at all !
But the situation that they refused to allow us to use the laptop during a period when there was no one in the cafe seemed absurd to me.
Rules created to make the place more comfortable, isn't it?) Not just to have rules)
It's a pity we couldn't spend time there
Update: Yes, Eric, I see your answer Yes, that is understandable, I believe it is hard to make the rules bendable. I would gladly raise the star or delete the review if you would just explain to me what the matter was. But for some reason you decided to sprinkle your answer with a couple of insults addressed to me. It is really unpleasant. So let this review stay here
And I didn't sit 90 minutes without ordering. Have no idea why you are writing it. I didn't seat at all. I just come, realized that I cannot sit in AC area and leave...
Read moreWe went for lunch at Little Ripper (18/01/2025). We ordered sourdough pancakes, latte with almond milk, long black and I ordered a slice of sourdough with avocado as the waiter told us they don’t have this as a set option, so I could mix two sides (slice or sourdough & avo). After 5 minutes the waiter came back and said: “I am sorry madame, we can’t give you the avocado as a side dish because we want to use it for other dishes.” Because I could not believe my ears, I asked to speak to a manager. The waiter introduced me to the owner of Little Ripper who said: “as a cafe owner yourself you could understand why we prefer to keep our avocado for other (more expensive dishes, right?) - he continued: the staff get’s instructured to handle cases like this in the way they did.” As if this wasn’t enough, the male owner got ‘backed-up’ by some very arrogant lady (manager?) who said: “I can understand our staff, every restaurant has their own way of handling cases like this.” In the last 10 years of being in Bali, we have NEVER experienced such unprofessional service as at this particular restaurant. When we wanted to pay our bill, the staff told us the owner did not wanted us to pay for our drinks & pancakes. I assume this was his way of showing respect in some way. We will...
