We went there on 22-Oct-2024 & took part in Sunrise Bromo Tour by travel agent. Special thanks to Bro Adi, our kind-hearted & awesome local guide at Bromo. He helped took lot of great photos & videos of our small family and not hesitate to show us best spots for majestic view and scenery. We highly recommend Bro Adi services for those looking for unforgettable Bromo experience. It is advisable to bring along travel sickness pill because of the bumpy road and uncomfortable jeep ride before you reach to the Penanjakan Hill. But it is really worth it after you reach to the top & enjoy the sunrise. Wish to come again here next time 🥰🥰 Tips: please check weather forecast and avoid school holidays or weekend for best experience.

Beautiful place to watch the sunrise. Be sure to join a tour so that you can take a 4x4 jeep up the majority of the mountain at 2am and then you can hike the rest of the way to the top. It's quite cold and windy so make sure you wear layers! You can also enjoy some hot chocolate when you hike up to warm yourself while watching the sunrise. Was really excited to see this one because last time I hiked up a volcano in the middle of the night (Mount Batur) in Indonesia, it was really cloudy so I didn't get to see the sunrise. The walk back down to the jeep was also really nice as you can see the road lined with a TON of jeeps. After watching the sunrise, make sure to go hike up Mount Bromo itself!

I took part in a sunrise tour and visited here. Nothing special and a similar sunrise viewing would be commonly available in other countries, but it would be one of the best experiences in Indonesia. In the tour, a local guide picked me/us at the hotel early in the morning like 3 o'clock and bring me here while it's still dark. Tips from me: Bring a bottle of water, at least one for each. Not necessarily filled. Wear shoes suitable for hiking. It's no picnic. Rather strenuous hill climbing. Wear a jacket for winter or autumn. It's below 5 degrees Celsius at the lowest time. Hill road is bumpy and muddy. Prepare a good camera, especially good at night mode, if you will.

Sunrise can look very beautiful although it often gets way to crowded to enjoy it properly. It takes about an hour to get there, out there is very dusty and cold during sunrise so make sure that you are dressed well. Soon after the sunrise most people are going to Mount Bromo and that's probably the best time to enjoy the view and make some nice photos. The further up you go the better view you'll get and even at the highest point you'll be able to buy some warm drinks and snacks. So go there, enjoy the view and if you are planning to climb Bromo afterwards you can do it in the afternoon when it's not crowded and especially before sunset if you want to make some nice...
