Art:1 New Museum — Attraction in Jakarta

One of the most satisfying museum slash gallery experience in Jakarta (and I've been to some). With IDR 75k priced tickets, you can access both the gallery (for sale items) and the museum (owner's collection)— each occupies a decently vast viewing area within the 3 floors space.

I was here during the weekday, and as expected, I was the sole visitor for around 1.5 hours of my time there. The top floor was quite warm in temperature, partly because of Jakarta's impossibly hot weather, so it was a little bit uncomfy. They have security guards slash museum officers in each floor that sort of just lounging there and guided you to the next floor.

great museum/art gallery! me and my friends spent a couple of hours here enjoying the arts and taking pictures. i went here on a weekday at around 1pm - 3pm and there weren't so many people there but they did said that on weekends its more crowded. the entrance fee i payed was 75k (for students. you have to show your student id) but for adults its 100k and its free for children under 12. oh and you have to pay extra 75k if you want to take pictures with a legit camera. some might say its a bit pricey, but i would say it's worth it because it's a way to appreciate artists. the arts were really cool and even the architecture is so aesthetically pleasing (and it's instagram feed friendly 😍). many youth would...

I dont know why society do not visit a place as beautiful as this. Because this artspace...oh, hell - is literally pretty and amazing tho. But i thank God due to it, because i can enjoy the vibes here, enjoy the artworks in the truest way without feeling annoyed by the crowds like we feel if we visit other 'mainstream' artspace.

The entrance gate requires you to pay IDR 100.000 if you are in such a general category, IDR 75.000 if you are an undergraduate or a postgraduate one (just reveal your Student Identity Card) and IDR 50.000 if you are a school student (same way, just show your Student Card)
