A downgrade from Jatim Park 2. The hype built around Jatim Park 3 is Dinosaur. However beside the many many many Dino statues and props inside they can't make a solid Dino Theme Park.
Let's start with inside the Dino Mall : Music Musium Legend Zombie/Horror house Fun tech Regular store and restos Dino Park
If the Dino Park is amazing, it actually can act as the saving grace of this Jatim Park 3. Sadly, it is not. It is a pretty lame standard theme park with ancient rides/attractions decorated with Dino statues/props.
Jelajah 5 Zaman is a disgrace. You are forced to queue for 45 minutes (maybe more in peak holiday season) for a 5 minute ride that are neither fun nor amazing. In the end of the ride you will only can think why on earth you waste 45 minutes queuing for something like this?! Meh.
After that you will walk across a bridge with a view of some dinos in the river. Breathtaking? Sadly, no. The river is not clean and has bad odor. After that you will reach a food court. Just in time for lunch since they already forced you to waste around 1 hour for that disgrace Jelajah 5 zaman (Dino Park open at 11:00). Almost every one are forced to swarm the food court that used card as payment (the same concept with other Jatim Park foodcourt). However the food court in Jatim Park 3 seem also want to dissapoint their customer to match the whole experience in this Park (Meh!). There only a few stall, most stall only have 2-3 employee. Prepare to queue again for 15-20 minutes just to order and pay. And another 30 minutes just to get your food. My advise, buy your food at Bakmi Naga Express or Bumblebee. Both are the best in term of not wasting your time.
Afer eat you can play some rides/attractions that actually can be mistaken as Museum of Rides from 1990's. But hey, they are equipped with Dino theme, cool! My confusion is the castle with image of Sultans and Dino statues, they combined it Xena the Warrior Princess riding dinos statue. I mean, if you want to make a middle eastern/egypt area why combined it Xena???
Rimba is basically almost the same with Taman Wisata Legenda in TMII. If you want to take a gazillion selfie/photos in almost every spots then Rimba is perfect for you. If you are a normal adult, you probably ended up walking up fast just to finish the torfure (in my case I use ebike, not walking).
All in all, 100k IDR is over price for me. A lame attempt only to utilize most Indonesian that love to take selfies...
Read moreThe location is not too far away from the heart of Malang. The parking space is spacious. It connect to Millenial Garden parking and can afford to 250 cars.
The place is build for all ages, if you want to explore all the area be sure to use slippers or anything comfort. Or even better they provide electric bicycle for 150k/3hrs. Thats reasanable price since the newest section is in high ground.
They divide their section into 8 sections are exploring 5 ages, the rimba, ice age, life with dino, museum dino, 3D aquarium, active fun house and bridge of dino.
They have dino museum where you can see the skeleton, dig site, statue, info about dino species, breeding dino, mixing parts of dino and many more. Really recommended to bring young kids to introducing them to long lost creature once roar uppon this world.
Then you will go to dino ride, thats 2 and half minutes ride is not worthed since it took 20 minutes to wait for the ride. You can go to see 5 time divided in Triassic, Cretaceous, Jurrasic, Permian and Pliocene. You can see both those who live in Land, Water and Roaming in the air. You can continue your ride to water Slide, swing boat, mini coaster, and many more.
When i visit just by in Eid Mubarak Holiday session the bridge is out of order. Next they have 3D aquarium, don't let your expectation go too high because the 3D animation is mediocre, but still fun to see your kids reaction after all.
The rimba and ice age offers many photo spots. You can feel the vibes since the area cover in woods and many big artificial trees, for made it more thrilling they gave fog and steam and the record sound dino roar is fitting through the atmpsphere. Imagine you alone stack in The woods then suddenly hearing Raptor hissing or Trex growling. The dino statues mostly accurate but some are way off still entertaining.
I will give Ice Age extra credit since the Section is brand new and well design with overwhelmed feature to help perfecting the message.
Overall its 80 out of 100. Because you can see the smile, anxious, impress and shocking reactions...
Read moreDefinitely a place have to visit! There are interesting rides there. Not as grand as Disneyland but fun. The dolls and statues are so well made. I hope they will keep on taking care of them well. We speed spent time there and it was 5 hours. We wanted to stay longer but we didnt have time left. Primary school kids will find rides there fun. Bigger kids will enjoy bumper cars, 7D ride or dino museum and statues. 7D ride (ticket sold separately rp30k/person) has several story options randomly played by the staff. Im not sure if u can request. Maybe yes if it is not crowded. All of the staff are kind and friendly. Well, i will say almost all of Indonesians are super friendly.
There are food courts. One area has elaborate payment system and food arent so great. Salty and and a bit pricey. There are stalls selling bottled water and cup noodles and they provide you with hot water for your cup noodles. Merchandise shops need a lil bit more variation of dino goods. Not too pricey and quality is so so. The dolls have quite good quality. 20%indoor area, 80%outdoor area, so besure to check the weather first. But they sell umbrellas and rain coats in the shops there.
They have electric scooter i can rent for rp 100k maybe for like 3 hours. The park is quite big. But i think jatim park 2 is bigger and more tiring since it is one long route way to the exit. In natim park 3, entrance and exit is side by side. I went to the restroom beside the water splash ride (dino cloning or like so) and it was awful to me who live in a country which toilet paper can be flushed. Only squating toilets with no toilet papers. There are a bucket filled with water flowing from the tab and a gayung. U use those to clean and flush.
So fun my kids wanted to visit again the next day. Visiting on weekdays is recommended. Anout 40% discount on entrance fee after 16pm but the closing time is 20pm. Pretty tight. U may want visit early to enjoy the park at...
