Wow, wow, WOW!. I was totally blown away with just how comprehensive this museum was!
I visited during weekday and paid IDR 140K, which gives you access to this museum along with the Batu Secret Zoo and Eco Green Park. What made it more memorable, as I was taking photos on the front lobby, I asked a guide (his name was Mas Ade, please correct me if i'm wrong) regarding the content of the museum and imagine the shock when I learned that there are only FOUR individual figures that ARE NOT real. THE REST USED TO BE ALIVE!! This is some high level stuff we're talking about here.
I was lucky to be given a free tour where Mas Ade told me about his job as the Taxidermist on this museum and gave me a LOT of backstories from each animal. I swear, i could've paid more for his guidance, this has enriched my visit tremendously!

Wildlife Museum (Museum Satwa) is a recreation place located in Batu City, East Java. This tourist attraction is about 20 km west of Malang City and is now one of the new tourist icons in East Java. The Animal Museum is part of Jatim Park 2. Read moreWhen I enter the door there is a big birdcage and inside it there is a deer with ghetto style sit in the chair with guitar beside it. "Oh, this place maybe just for young people for taking selfies" said my mind pessimistically.
The next stage was a big tree surrounded by animals from Africa, i.e. elephant, giraffe, deer, etc. And by different species of antelope inside wall with their name and description displayed above the glass partition. "Ok, not bad", I thought.
When I enter the next room, my subconsciousness immediately open my satchel and take the mirrorless camera, ready to take photos of all of the mummified butterfly and insect. "Holy universe! This is awesome"
Each and every room after that can not stop my mind from feeling awe and orgasm. Best experience ever, worth every cent of it.
