Museum of Kretek built by The Governor of Central Java Soepardjo Roestam in October 3th 1986 located at Kudus which is famous for being said as the City of Kretek as it has long become the center of kretek's production in Indonesia. Kretek is the term commonly used to call Javanese authentic cigarette made from tobacco & cloves wrapped within dried corn husk (klobot) which when it is burned it will make "kretek.kretek..kretek..." sounds. Nitisemito is to be the founding father of kretek cigarette industry & business. However, the very first person to discover kretek was Haji Djamhari in which he used to experiment kretek as a medicinal purposes to cure his respiratory diseases.
