The Best Garang Asem dish in Kudus, probably in Indonesia, or even the world (?).

Soft chicken dish with heavenly soup, made of various herbs and spices. Refreshingly sour and spicy - full of umami. The spicy chili flavour gives extra kick, I don't think you can order "not spicy" version.

All chicken meat (inluding the head) is being wrapped in banana leaves. Better enjoy it while still hot. It really is the best garang asem there is.

No need to wait, they were cooked already.

Other dishes: Soto and ayam goreng. But hey, this js Garang Asem speciality and you want to order anything else but garang asem? 🙄

Drinks are pretty standard, tea, bottled and canned drinks, young coconut etc.

The place is kinda big, like its good for families. Their speciality is the Garang Asem its like a banana leaf wrapped steamed chicken stew and its soooo delicious, its savory, light, slightly sour, and there's spicy kick to it too! They served them hot with white rice. But they also have other menu too like Ayam Goreng and Soto. They also have a lot of snack choices too. Price wise, it wasn't expensive altough not too cheap too. It was okay. Wide parking space and all, definitely will be back.

A must visit place fo local food lover particularly Garang Asam (sour and spice Chicken soup). I made a stop when on my way visiting my cousin in Pati. I decided to make a stop when I noted many cars were coming in and out of this place and it turned out to be the right decision. My wife was skeptical in the beginning but very satisfied afterwards. Fast service as the waiter approach every customer with ready-to-eat hot Garang Asam. Not need to wait after making order. It offers other food but without a doubt the signature dish is Garang Asam.
