Ok, the least I can say is we were taken by surprise when we first arrived in the dark of night, because the place is in the middle of nowhere (not sooo close to ubud as it may seem, even our driver was confused). I feel like now, however, I can finally say it was a really pleasant experience. Waking up in the morning has never been easier, the nature around the place is really beautiful, there's a dog and a cat (we even saw a snake 💀), and the owners are super sweet (note that not everyone speaks English, so you'll have to ask for their daughter if you really need something). Also, they provided us with drinking water from a little outside reservoir. Finally, the rooms. They do have a subtle (or maybe more) odor which I suspect comes from what looks like a bit of mold (?? I don't know for sure, but it kinda looks like little white hair). Also, you might notice that the bedsheets are a little stained. Now, I don't know where to begin about the bathrooms. The one I stayed at didn't even have a door (the rest do) and one of us had spiders crawling in from the air vent every now and then (maybe a hole in the vent), but come on, it's bali, what did you expect. Anyways, my final verdict is, you should come here only if you are an adventurous person who doesn't really like the fuss of the town and has no issue dealing with a bit of nature (plus,...
Read moreIf you can ride a scooter this place is very nice. It is about 10-15 minutes away from the Ubud centre so not optimal if you only want to do things there. Grab and Gojek are banned in this area and the local "taxies" are at least 50k IDR one way. It's a perfect out of town and off the main street location if you will be using a scooter for different day-trips. They have scooters for rent for a decent price which is convenient.
Everything was clean and well functioning. Great water pressure and temperature. Very cool "outside" bathroom. There will be some ants and other insects though since it is open aired so don't stay here if you are afraid of those.
Bed was large and beautiful. Enjoyed a good breakfast everyday on our little terrace in the lovely garden. Sleep was good, with animal and nature sounds around because of the neighboring farm. Good...
Read moreStayed here for 6 days. This BnB was our central spot to explore Ubud and north bali. We got the standard room which was decent, they clean the room and bathroom every day which was good but they don't change the sheets, pillow cover and towels which I felt should have been done at least 2 days once since we booked for a week. The owner couple were super friendly and I think it is the son who takes care of it. This BnB is a bit away from the centre of Ubud. There are also paddy fields around which give village vibes. If you are exploring north bali and Ubud and requirements are just to come in the evening and sleep I do recommend this place.
Note: if you need anything just ask for it they are happy to provide don't hesitate...
