Bamboe Koening Restaurant — Restaurant in Bali

It's a nice and very big complex including hotel. The restaurant looked closed as it's empty when we arrived but when we asked staff we found out it's open but nobody "welcome" you. Food is tasty and prepared quickly, prices are reasonable but on the menu the prices are without 21% tax&service which is the highest extra fee I saw in Bali, it's usually around 16%. We had fried duck, sweet&sour fish and local sweets + ice tea and mango&strawberry juice. Just a pity that at the dessert 5 Balinese sweets is not a description what's what, I believe tourists would appreciate it. It's nice to walk around, there's a nice pool with stunning view to rice fields. I'll be happy...

I was there 2 days in a row while attending a workshop @ Royal Casa Ganesha.

Unfortunately: just okay‘ish food. Very friendly but pretty weak service.

But therefor 10% service charge (which is only around ~6 % in way better restaurants I visited in Ubud area, so that it’s on you as a guest to top it up for outstanding hospitality & service...

Ate here plenty of times during my stay. Great breakfast buffet! Their À la carte menu also offers a good mix of Balinese and Western food. Would highly recommend the Mujair Nyat Nyat. The bamboo nest upstairs also adds a unique touch...
