The museum artwork was quite impressive and rather well curated. Rp 25,000,- entrance fee for one hour was relatively worth the price. The timing restriction was applied but since the museum is not too big, one hour is relatively enough. The disappointing part of the museum was the restroom. Despite such high valuable private art collections, the museum did not bother to provide a decent and clean restroom. The restroom was very filthy. Also the museum did not provide a locker for visitors or at least a proper storage room for the bags. Visitors were not allowed to bring any form of bags (even the tiniest sling bag/wallet bag were not allowed). You must leave your bag at this small security table, the same table where the officer validate the tickets just in front of the museum entrance. All visitor bags were laid out, feasibly seen and reachable by arriving visitors. You could only bring your phone and wallet, carrying them in your hands or pocket (I didn’t have pocket the time I was visiting, so I ended up carrying my 2 phones, wallet and credit card wallet on my hands). I was so not comfortable leaving my bag on the small security table out in the open. The museum should at least put information on ticket confirmation email regarding bag restriction. I would have left my bag at the hotel had I been informed or brought hidden body wallet for...

The exhibits were interesting but our group of 55 professionals from Jakarta were disappointed in 3 things: We were told not to bring bags into the exhibit space but there were no storage facilities such as lockers; we had to dump our bags on an open air table watched by a security, with no comfort in seeing our valuables secure. No toilets in the exhibit space, we had to hop outside where one single was available to all, guests, security and assorted others. We bought merchandise at the museum store where there was toilet facilities inside which we were told could not be used by customers. This is ridiculous as we were paying guests. After some arguments with the unrelenting staff we forced our way into these toilets.

We recommend future visitors to be aware of these shortcomings and come prepared.

We hope the management improve the facilities as the museum is actually quite worth seeing, bar these...

Modern museum too it's detail. The building like a big warehouse turn into a modern museum. The facade is covered with perforated metal sheet and have a marmer wall at the first floor. The way the painting or artwork hang are like in the overseas museum. Though the lightings are made way much brighter than the usual museum, so people can have a better picture without flash. The museum have good collection from modern art to contemporary art. Artwork from Abdullah, Affandi, Lee Man Fong, Hendra Gunawan, Soedjojono, Ay Tjoe Christine, Entang, Aditya Novali are some of the collection. I love the mission of this private museum, to passed the art and culture of Indonesian Art To the next generation. One thing to remind for the visitors, art not just to take picture with, but to be learned, to be enjoyed, understand about, captured every era of art movement and the...

You need to book in advance to come here. They limit the visit to just an hour. Although you need to book for a fix hour, you still can change the schedule of your visitation. The price they charge is reasonable. They also offer free tickets but with limited amount. The parking area was small compared to the cars that were being parked and the street that leads here was jammed. Before entering, a guide will explain the rules and then introduce the paintings on the second floor. After the introduction, you can roam around freely. There were more arts in the first floor, but those in the first floor were not introduced by the guide. The museum was clean, bright, and cool. Many people that came were more interested in taking selfies rather than to appreciate the arts 😄. You can leave anytime earlier but cannot leave more than the time allowed.

Tumurun Private Museum is a contemporary art museum located in Solo City, Central Java. The location is little bit hidden without a sign board. The museum offers some types of art such as paintings, handcraft, art installation and some other documentaries. Besides they also display some old cars collection as well. Overall the museum is sooo beautiful, and amazing eventhough the collection is not large, plus it is a private museum owned by a garment tycoon Sritex Company. If you wanna get here make sure to register by online every Monday (check on their web) before running out the visitor quota. Closed every Monday. Tips if you want to visit make sure your name was enlisted (check their IG Story) because the visitor can only get one hour to explore the museum. You'll be busy to take pictures. Guaranteed.

Love the gallery. I bought the ticket on the spot HTM 25k. If you buy the ticket via website then you could pay by QRIS or debit, otherwise for now you need cash. On the first floor, you could see their private collection from varied infamous local artist. Meanwhile on the second floor, was another exhibition titled "Transitory Nature of Earthly Joy" by Albert Yonathan Setyawan. Tbh, the exhibition made me mellow (in a good way). In addition, the program might change in the near future so you need to keep up with their social media. I just hope they don't play pop song with loudspeaker at the gallery since it's kinda ruining the atmosphere. Classical music will be okay, but pop song? Kinda distracting. Better yet, just turn it off.
