This is a beautiful place in terms of the natural surroundings. However, I think there are a couple things to mention as you visit. First, the road we took to enter is unpaved with a lot of potholes. Some were pretty deep. Next, we had to pay to enter the parking area which was 10,000 IDR. It’s unclear where to park so we followed another parked car. As we walked towards the bridge connecting the parking to the hill, we were caught by someone selling coconuts. He was very persistent and followed us until we reached the bridge. After, we had to pay 5,000 IDR to enter the walking path to the hill. As soon as we entered, a young girl tried to sell us bracelets. We declined but she was persistent. After walking towards the top of the hill, we were bombarded by young girls selling bracelets or wanting to take our photo to purchase. Also, another person was trying to sell us coconuts. Once we got past all that, we finally had some peace to enjoy the views. It was very peaceful.
One thing we noticed was all the trash that was left on the hill: straws, coconuts, food. It was a mess. I’m not sure what they use for the money. Also, two tourists were kicking coconuts down the hill.

Read moreIt is located next to Bukit Merese, another famous lookout point. The difference is that from Bukit Seger you can get a better view of the Mandalika Circuit and I recommend going during the daytime before hiking to Bukit Merese to watch the sunset. The wind is quite strong up at the top so don't worry about the heat even in the middle of the day (a.k.a my time of visit).
It is important to note that there are two ways to access this area: Follow the road that leads to the 'official' road to the hill The road is quite new and well managed. However, the hike uphill is quite long and you should beware of the expensive local 'ojek' that offers services to get you up there. (Fee: 10K Vehicle access) Access it from Tanjung Aan beach You can ask/request your driver or your google maps to lead you to Tanjung Aan beach instead. The hike uphill is not far at all and most locals usually access it from here....
Read moreA must visit when you arein Lombok especially Mandalika area. The top of the hill scenery is breathtaking. Have a good 360 degrees view of mandalika area with blue seas and lapping surfing waves crashing the rocky hills by the shore. You will be greated by coconut sellers. Dont be alarmed by them as they are trying to survive with the changes in the area. They are farmers in that area but the farming land is getting smaller and rising tides disrupting the soil. Have a chat with them and buy the coconut and enjoy the sip. Have a great experience...
