Save yourself the misery

We went here expecting to get some reasonably tasty pub grub, instead we got the most disgusting attempt at food that I think I've ever experienced. I ordered the caesar salad for starter, what I got was hot chicken half cooked slices of bacon, smothered in some gloopy sauce which may have been honey & mustard but definitely not caesar sauce along with the wrong variety of lettuce, slimy cucumber and warm slimy tomatoes....gross. I then got the confit half duck...what I got was a tiny rubbery bit of duck with slimy fatty skin which was completely inedible. My partner got the brie starter which was ok..ish, he then got the 'cod' & chips...how can you get that so wrong...the chips tasted like they had been reheated from yesterday in dirty oil, the fish (dont think it was cod) had a weird smell coming from it and was battered in thick spongy 'batter' not at all what you'd expect. My partner and I felt really sick after trying to eat our meals and we will definitely never be back...overpriced disgusting...

Having been highly recommended, we decided to dine at Meadow View for our second night,s stay in the area instead of eating in hotel. Staff member who served us appeared to have difficulty understanding our orders(we are from Ireland) ,our starters were good. For our mains we ordered poached salmon which didn't come with any vegetables so ordered coleslaw as a side and very very small portion,I ordered cod without chips and that's all that came down on a huge plate,no peas or lemon. Terribly disappointed in over all quality of food and discovered staff member was new and inexperienced so maybe needed some more training. Price was too much given poor quality of food. We could have eaten in hotel for second night for more or less same cost. Won't be returning and would find it hard to recommend after...

Firstly, I have allergies to a lot of foods and more often than not I am left with one option to eat. This location offered more choices that I struggled to choose. I took the chicken burger with cheese, bacon and Pineapple served with chips. I cleared my plate, which is rare on top of garlic bread. I finished with apple crumble and ice cream, everything absolutely 💯 perfect. My wife, my daughter and my 87 year old mother in law, cleared their plates, with my mother in law stating the apple pie for desert, was rhe best she has had in many years. Each member of staff were so friendly and fun, it felt like we had known them forever. For those negative reviews regarding cost being high, my suggestion is to continue visiting MickyDees because the cost didn't bother me in the slightest.........
