Loughnaneane Park — Attraction in County Roscommon

Just off the Roscommon Town's Main Square this park is an excellent addition to the town. The park is over looked by Roscommon Castle which is accessible during opening hours of the park. There are information boards dotted throughout the park detailing the various types of birds and wildlife that can be seen inhabiting the park at various times of the year. Love visiting Loughnanane Park as it is so peaceful and tranquil. To sit and watch the swans and the ducks have such a calming effect on a person not to mention it being a great place to interact and meet other people HOWEVER if I had only one fault with it...it is that there should be a facility for a public toilet there to cater for the wide variety of age groups and people with different health ailments....so it is very badly needed and should be regarded as a top priority....apart from...

Lovely spacious park ,well kept with lovely wooden engraved statues and seats ,seats are available throughout the park ,has a playground for children with age appropriate equipment suitable for all,paths are well maintained and suitable for prams ,wheelchair ,bikes ,and for small children to walk without rough bumpy ground .first time this week knowing about the place and went every day youngest son (5) absolutely loved spending time there ..trees around the park give shelter also...
