I recently went to see Joker in this particular cinema. My sister and I were very excited as going to the cinema is a treat for us given the amount you have to spend! As we got to the front of the line the staff was rude and the woman serving us barely even looked up to acknowledge us. She chatted to her co-worker while we asked for a ticket and food. When we got in to the screen room after foul service from the front desk we sat and waited for the movie to begin. Only it didn't, the screen kept freezing and the lights were still on. After buffering for a solid ten minutes the movie began but this time without the sound. We were shown the first fifteen minutes of the movie still with the lights on and in silence. Then the movie froze and we once again sat there wondering what was happening. Eventually the film restarted with sound and we finally got to enjoy it- unlit, from start to finish. Not a great start to movie though, especially due to the amount of money we forked out...
Read moreWe brought our son the day of his 6th Birthday for a treat. It was my 1st time there (and my last) We were going to see the new Paw Patrol Movie. Film was due to start at 4.30pm..... so we arrived and I had booked online so went to the till to check in, she couldn't find my booking, the QR code wasn't working. 5.15pm and the movie still hadn't started. People were beginning to leave which is understandable. Eventually around 5.20pm a member of staff came in to apologise for the delay and said there was a technical error and hopefully the movie would be on in 5 mins. The movie started at 5.30pm and by then there were only 10 people left. There wasn't even any free refreshments offered to the people that had waited and not asked for a refund. Even some popcorn wouldn't have gone astray. Such bad customer service, I only seen 1 member of staff working. It has turned me off ever going here again. Will be going to my usual IMC in Athlone anymore. You've lost a...
Read moreNo staff on ticket desk, had to queue at the snacks counter for tickets. Two members of staff messing and loudly joking around together ignoring customers. Only one member actually serving tickets and food...the girl said she was leaving the lad to do the work. Lights were turned down from when the doors opened, so elderly people had a problem seeing where they were going. Downton Abbey appeals to mostly the older generation so perhaps it would have been a good idea to show it on a screen where there were seats they could access without using the stairs. It was not suitable for wheelchairs . Air con was on (not heating) through the entire movie on a cold wet evening. The foyer looked empty and abandoned, closed up bowling alley in the dark to the right as you enter, closed up ticket desk, scruffy and needing a makeover. No wonder there was only 10 people in the theatre. Worst...
