The beach is so beautiful 😍 There is a sandy part for those who want to spend a say at the beach, few benches on top for those who just want to enjoy the view and of course for those who want just to have a walk - there is plenty views to see. We found a place to park with no problem. Before going g down to the beach - make sure you used WC because there is only one we found- and it was on the top of the hill( not far from parkings) The only minus - water seemed a bit dirty after long beach day so we couldn't really go for a swim

Rosses point beach is lovely, with views of Benbulben and Knocknarea mountains. It's a safe beach for swimming and has rock pools which can be fun to look around with the kids. There is a camp site, yacht club, golf club, hotel, bars and restaurants and a small local shop. On sunny days you may find an ice cream truck and a coffee cart in the carpark of the beach. There is a lack of bins so be prepared to take any rubbish home with you.

Tide was out, sand was warm, ocean was a delight. Great beach for kid exploring the rock pools and a decent swim without having to walk too far. Sand as far as the eye can see. Parking can be a challenge and some drivers get inventive about where to leave their cars. Plenty of food options with the food/ ice cream / coffee trucks parked on site. The camp site was used by friends who said it was excellently appointed.

There is multiple beaches at Rosses Point which allows more people to be at the beach before crowding it up, and when the tide is high, you will know as it is far up the beach, so checking the tide before going is a must or else you will be doing beach activities on rocks. A great plus is the second beach being pedestrian only which makes looking out for kids easier. There is also some nice rock interesting formation areas that are a bit of an adventure, especially to a child's creative mind - the formation is found on the second beach and when you are heading off the beach don't take the ramp instead turn right and walk down the beach....

Rosses Point, 8km from Sligo, offers visitors a long stretch of clean, fine sand backed by low grassy dunes. Set on the "Wild Atlantic Way" there are lovely views of Knocknarea to the south and Benbulben to the north. From the "Discovery Point" views extend out to Coney Island, Oyster Island and the wild Atlantic Ocean beyond. Largely undeveloped this area is a haven for wildlife. There is a colony of grey seals in Sligo Bay and dolphins, porpoises, basking sharks and even whales are occasionally spotted. The bay is popular with windsurfers and other water-sports enthusiasts, and in summer the beach is an excellent choice for...
