Played during a driving rainstorm on a July morning. We had the course to ourselves - the groundskeepers told us we were bananas to keep playing. Course was a big challenge and in good shape. Fairways undulate. Many high green complexes. Bring your spin game to hold these greens; otherwise plan to be chipping on a lot with one putt to save par. Thoroughly enjoyable links experience right off the coast of downtown Dublin. Post round pint in the clubhouse could not have tasted better.

Super golf course and a very good test of golf. Narrow fairways and require good accurate 2nd shots to score. The greens are small and rolled great the day I played. Only 20 mins from Dublin and 30 from Dublin airport. Royal Dublin is a good choice to play any time but golfers could always add this course on the front or at the end of an Irish Golf trip.

Superb links track. The whole experience was like a throw back to classic links tournaments in the 80s. The club house was charming and had a warm member driven atmosphere with fantastic staff. Our caddie was fantastic and the overall experience was top notch. Somehow a hidden gem these day but well worth the visit.

The Royal Dublin Golf Club was founded in 1885 and designed by Harry Colt. Located just 2 km from Dublin City Centre this Championship Links course is a great test for all levels of player. Home to the Irish Open in the 80's the links witnessed some incredible finishes between Seve Ballesteros and Bernhard Langer.

Royal Dublin was also the home course of the late and great professional, Christy O'Connor Snr who, amongst numerous other accolades, represented Europe on the Ryder Cup team on 10 consecutive encounters.

The Royal Dublin Golf Club is a members club with a reputation for its friendly welcome to visitors, both local and international. The historic club house is home to wonderful golf memorabilia. Don't forget to visit the 19th for some great food, a drink and some banter while looking over the thrilling finishing hole as seen...

Heyeeeee!! I played golf at "The Royal Dublin". IN DUBLIN IRELAND!! (Not good golf). But it doesn't matter. Had a blast. Peter was the best Caddy ever. In the world. LOL. Shout out to Peter. You da Man Peter. You da Man. Just so everyone knows for future reference. You need cash to pay the caddy. It's not payable through the clubhouse. I didn't have enough cash. Peter was kind enough to give me a ride. All the way to my hotel, so I could pay the man. He earned himself a generous tip....
