Gorgeous waterfall with a fun walk to reach it. We read about a waterfall nearby and didn’t think much of it. The spectacle itself was interesting, higher and more impressive than we imagined it would be. The walk there is an easy ascend, into the forested mountains. There are many signs to get you there from each neighbourhing town. Read moreAmazing. The waterfall is properly high and powerful (it was raining a couple of days before the hike). We started at Linzanico and found out that some portions of the path had become little creeks. My shoes got wet, but the stones weren't really slippery on the way up. On the way back, we diverted to the path that leads directly to Abbadia Lariana. This involved quite a few extra altitude meters but the route was completely dry and very scenic. Read moreA really nice view during the walk and at the waterfall, but it was quite a tough rocky, steep and sometimes narrow path near cliffs to walk with young kids. It was difficult to get a grasp of how long the walk was (and where we were on it).
At the start of the walk there are several drinkwater taps which was nice given the hot day, the final 3kms (approx, of the 4 km trail in total) are without so make sure to fill your bottles there.
