Grande Pevero beach — Attraction in Alzachèna/Arzachena

For all beach visitors: Parking: It's best to take the first parking lot that you see when you drive into Piccolo Pevero. There are 2 of them: the first is public and costs 7.50 EUR per day. In the high season, however, the parking lot is usually full by 10 a.m. The other one is 10 m further inside and is from the hotel, costs 10 EUR for external visitors. From this parking lot(s) you have to walk 650 m to the beach, or you can take a tuktuk for 1.50 EUR per person. The tuktuks are right at the entrance of the parking lot. 150 m further in the direction of the beach there is a second parking space for 18 EUR per day. You can park by the hour at all parking lots.

The beach: The beach itself is big enough and you can rent umbrellas with sun chairs (costs?). The water is clear and almost turquoise. There are only 1-2 small spots with more or less algae / wood. The sand on the beach is slightly coarse-grained, but in the water it is very fine and white.

Il Grande Pevero, a pochi passi da Porto Cervo, è una delle spiagge-simbolo della Costa Smeralda e non c’è da stupirsi se il principe arabo Aga Khan se ne sia innamorato a prima vista.

Acque caraibiche, sabbia finissima e una lingua di terra a mezzaluna lunga circa 300 m abbracciata da una fitta macchia mediterranea. Il fondale basso la rende perfetta per lunghe camminate nell’acqua e praticabile anche da chi ha meno dimestichezza con il nuoto e le profondità marine.

Arrivarci non è facile perché le indicazioni sul navigatore vi depisteranno. Seguite per il Just Cavalli verso il Piccolo Pevero e puntate al grande parcheggio (a pagamento, 2,50€/h - 7,50€ la giornata) sulla destra, dove troverete una piazzola con un un ristorante, delle case e un servizio navetta di ape car coloratissimi che - per qualche euro - si offriranno di darvi un passaggio alla spiaggia. Da lì a piedi percorrete per qualche centinaio di metri una strada sterrata che vi condurrà a una lenta discesa verso il mare, costeggiata da ville incredibili, oleandri coloratissimi.. e yacht!

La spiaggia è sia libera (in fondo, verso le dune), che attrezzata (Pevero Beach), è presente un chiosco dove potete bere uno spritz tra paparazzi e avventori.

Essendo situata a Nord, spesso è interessata da forti venti di maestrale che renderanno difficile anche tenere fermo l'ombrellone.. nel caso rifugiatevi verso le dune o tuffatevi in acqua!

Muovetevi per tempo perchè - vista la bellezza e la notorietà - è spesso molto affollata. In alternativa, se tra un bagno e l'altro preferite camminare, potete addentrarvi nella macchia mediterranea circostante percorrendo i sentieri del Pevero Healt Trail, che vi condurrà alla scoperta di boschi di ginepri antichissimi e calette misteriose.

Unica nota dolente in questo Paradiso da sogno, a parte l'evidente sovraffollamento in alta stagione, è la presenza massiva di ambulanti e commercianti abusivi che, come una ronda, uno dopo l'altro, incessantemente, verranno a decine a proporvi le loro cianfrusaglie ogni quarto d'ora, riportandovi - ahimé - bruscamente...
