DO NOT GO! Shocking. what appears to be the manager, has no idea what hospitality is. It almost feels like you’re at a market and he’s trying to upsell you products. The pushiness is uncomfortable (and I work in the sales industry and I even found him too pushy). No flair. No class. We specifically told the manager or whatever we that we want the fish grilled. It arrived salted. We politely raised it, by the time he eventually got to us he shrugged his shoulders and said, so it’s nice, to which we responded but it’s not we we ordered. He then gave a meagre sorry and said try it and if you don’t like it then you can change it after the whole fish had already been cut up and placed in front of us. We aren’t the type of people to waste food so we trudged through something we definitely did not want to eat.
The fish was ok. I had to force down the pieces with the salt (as this is not my preferred dish) and the potatoes were definitely made many days ago.
€200 euros is not a bad price for a good meal and good service but this was daylight robbery. The fact that we raised the issue there and then and gave them the opportunity to rectify it and were met with shrugging shoulders sets the tone for the type of establishment this is.
Porto Cuervo is a beautiful place with many AMAZING restaurants. This is not one of them! Trust the...
Read moreIn a nutshell, do not waste your money and instead bring a lush picnic from a deli or supermarket for a fraction of the cost here (as it is the only F&B outlet at this beach)
Restaurant Manager / Maître d’ is rude and unpleasant to both staff and worse guests alike - yet finds himself exceptionally charming. I’ve not seen arrogance of this level in a long time and especially considering this is a casual beach dining venue.
Guests are blatantly ignored at every touch point, the menu cannot be viewed before being seated - only to then find out about a very limited overpriced selection & €10 / person cover charge.
Food served was mediocre for the price at best. Service was exceptionally incompetent and I’d want to be clear that the main waiting staff are not at fault here - they’re untrained, left without guidance by a head waiter and simply thrown in at the deep end with angry guests.
At €10 per head cover you’d expect to be served some lovely bread and/or grisini with some olive oil - not the case either - instead stale buns and crackers are served.
The view of course is stunning but that was Mother Nature and not their doing. Walk 50m, put your towel down and enjoy...
Read moreOk… where to start?! First, when we arrived (3pm) ppl were running around like crazy. No organization of any kind. At a certain point we were able to stop a guy that didn’t ignore us. We asked for a table just for having few drinks and some snacks. He told us that there was no possibility to sit if you just want drinks and snacks. “Just restaurant if you want to sit”. Ok… but in that case please call it a restaurant not a bar. Indeed, we drove there because is called a bar… After we agreed to do restaurant and sit down, we have to wait 15 min before having water and 30 min for the possibility to order. We ordered a tuna tartare, culurgiones and drinks. The tartare arrived after 20 min. It was just tuna pieces (not fresh at all…) without dressing or anything else. Kind of disgusting. Drinks were lost and arrived just before the culurgiones after almost 45 minutes from our order. Culurgiones were ok but nothing special. After we finished we had to wait other 30 min between asking and getting the check… we overpaided (83€) for this nightmare experience. I understand that you are the only place on that beach but you can do...
