Me and my best friend had a great time here on our holiday to Italy! The staff were friendly and helpful, the beach is clean with beautiful sand, can be a little windy so keep that in mind. The water was clean and so warm (a great change from dirty English beaches). We drank beers from a nearby shop and laid on our sunbeds (15 euro for 2 beds with 1 umbrella on a weekday, costs more at the weekend), took dips in the ocean which was so lovely and even bought some new bikinis from some merchants who were selling them on the beach. In the distance you can see a mountainous uninhabited island which is such a pretty view. I will definitely come back to Anzio beach if I'm ever in Lazio...

cleanliness (3*) - on the main beach it more or less clean based on that why you consider as clean. if am very honest the beach should be daily a cleaning as most people do not taking care as leave cigarettes' or cans.
