A charming small museum housed in the beautiful Villa Adele and its lush gardens. The museum is well-maintained, interesting collection with English explanations. A very kind gentleman welcomed me in when he just opened and the entry is free. If you are in Anzio, I highly recommend to visit the museum. Museo che contiene sia reperti storici rinvenuti durante scavi nelle vicinanza (per lo più di epoca Romana o ellenica) sia una zona dedicata allo sbarco di Anzio avvenuto durante la WWII. Bello, ben curato, spazioso, ben mantenuto e, secondo prattutto, molto vario (contiene reperti che spaziano fra diverse epoche storiche). Sia chiaro, non è immenso, si vede tutto entro un paio d'ore in media (dipende dal vostro modo di porvi), se non prima. Ho trovato entrambi i settori ("antico" e "moderno") molto affascinanti e ricchi di storia. Devo essere onesto, da qui ho avuto modo di poter "toccare con mano" punti di vista differenti riguardo determinate epoche storiche. Fa sempre un certo effetto vedere il particolare quando si studia il generale. Unica "pecca" è che è gratuito. Personalmente, avrei quanto meno dato la possibilità di poter lasciare un contributo volontario. Inoltre, organizzano ogni tanto viaggi alla scoperta di Anzio antica o visite guidate (sempre tutto gratuito), i posti sono pochi (giustamente), ve li consiglio!
