Those who know South Tyrol will be somewhat surprised by this connection, from a purely geographical point of view. However, the distance between Nals and Margreid is not that great. For general understanding, it should be mentioned that this is not a family winery, but rather one organised as a cooperative - although we do not have any detailed knowledge here. Well over 100 winegrowers work year after year in various vineyards from "Nals to Margreid-Entiklar" to ensure that excellent grapes form the basis for the development in the cellar. As a result of the merger, a very broad spectrum of the wine-growing possibilities available in this geographic zone is represented by the partly very different vineyards. Whoever visits this winery at its new "headquarters" will see, in addition to an imposing, modern architecture, a historical building that gives an idea of what the beginnings might have been like. This is also true of the building in Margreid. The focus of this winery is predominantly on the white wines, which have already received some notable awards. Of equal interest to us are the Lagrein and the Merlot. More at:...
Read moreWhat a great establishment. I only wished I had more time in this winery. I didn't book a tour due to limited time on the way back to Germany. Just walked in and still received very attentive and friendly service. If you are a real wine enthusiastic and only interested in boutique wineries that are interesting and trying to make different things, you are at the right place. I tried most of their selection wines, each of the wine has their own characteristics. It's not always the case that people listen to your needs and have a real conversation with you about wine and recommend something tailored to your liking. I visit wineries in Europe all the time and this is among the best...
Read moreThis is my favorite vineyard in my favorite wine region of Italy. Most of the staff is trilingual (Italian, German, and English) and provide helpful descriptions of all of the wines they recommend. They are friendly and know their wines, and are happy to adapt & recommend wines based on your preferences. I tend to prefer dry wines and there's no shortage of them here. The building it self is modern and sleek and is tucked away on the edge of town, high above the Etschtal. The views of the mountains and the valley are also a plus -...
