So a typewriter museum a considerable bus or train ride away (we were staying in Soprabolzano) may not sound like a thrilling day trip, but it's a really cool place! You can lose track of time in the typewriter archive, tapping away on a few they have set up to use or just trying to find the one you think is the coolest. It's actually pretty interesting to see all the different machines from all over the world on display and how the typewriter evolved. There are even a number of codebreaker machines that should interest history...
