What a stunning location and ambiance! Terre del Marchesato is situated in the heart of Bolgheri, surrounded by beautiful rows of vineyards and the quintessential Tuscan landscape. The setting feels intimate and small-scale — not a large, impersonal tourist factory, but rather a family-run estate with real character. The sight of the vineyards and the view of the rolling hills immediately spark curiosity about what will be in the glass. We were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality, and the guide/tasting hosts took their time to share background stories about the family history and the wines. The tour at Terre del Marchesato is truly exceptional. You can tell the estate has deep wine knowledge and conveys it with passion and dedication. That same passion and expertise is reflected in the wines themselves.

I vigneti di Terre del Marchesato sono situati nella fascia intermedia, proprio al centro di un triangolo “benedetto” tra Tenuta Antinori (Guado al Tasso), Tenuta San Guido (Sassicaia) e Ornellaia. Un’area nota col nome “le Ferruggini”, perché ricca anche di ferro, il cui terreno è caratterizzato da una prevalenza di argilla a medio impasto, con componenti di sabbia e limo ideali per conferire potenza e freschezza ai vini. Terre del Marchesato è a tutti gli effetti un’azienda familiare; lo è nella gestione puntuale delle attività commerciali, nell’intima cura dei vitigni e delle uve, nella dedizione e nella voglia di migliorarsi che si respira in cantina, nell’amore per la terra e per il vino e nel rispetto delle tradizioni nella gestione dell’azienda. Il Fuselli sostiene che: "i monovarietali, sono mediamente vini tosti e di carattere. Per fare un buon vino in purezza devi essere in grado di interpretare al meglio le caratteristiche organolettiche del suo uvaggio durante tutta la filiera produttiva, se commetti qualche errore rischi che le sue qualità si trasformino in difetti. Allo stesso tempo però se li tratti come si deve e se ne rispetti i limiti ti consentono in fase di vinificazione di dargli la tua impronta. Insomma pur rappresentando una bella sfida, mi consentono di ottenere vini che sento miei, sia a livello caratteriale che come espressione del territorio di Bolgheri". Tra i principali vini rossi monovarietali troviamo: Maurizio Fuselli (Petit Verdot), Aldone (Merlot), Franchesato (Cabernet Franc) e Tarabuso (Cabernet Sauvignon). Terre del Marchesato non è tuttavia una cantina che produce solo monovarietali, la nostra gamma comprende tre vino blend di uve rosse che rispecchiano la tipicità della produzione locale: Marchesale (DOC Bolgheri Superiore), Emilio Primo (DOC Bolgheri Rosso) e Inedito (IGT Toscana Rosso). Tra i vini Bianchi troviamo Papeo (Vermentino) ed Emilio Primo Bianco (Vermentino).
