Cantina Boroli - "La Brunella" Winery — Attraction in Castiglione Falletto

We were fortunate enough to visit this winery when staying in Castiglione Falletto in May. The experience from beginning to end was flawless.

We communicated with Elena via email, and she was incredible! She answered emails promptly and was very accomodating to our time requirements. We were lucky enough to do a tour of the estate with her as well as our tasting. She was an encyclopaedia of knowledge but made it really easy and entertaining to understand everything about La Burnella and barolo wines. The tasting was fantastic - being able to try different vintages gave us a great understanding of vintage conditions, combined with the different wines gave us a fantastic understanding of the vineyards themselves.

We enjoyed this tasting and tour of the cellars very much. Our guide was very passionate and knowledgeable, making the experience amazing. Its location and surroundings are fantastic, with a 360° view over the vineyards. The tasting room itself offers spectacular views, as it has windows from floor to ceiling, which give a great atmosphere and the feeling of sitting in the middle of the vineyards overlooking the valleys (unique, I would say!). We have been looking forward to this visit since we first met Achille in St. Louis at Acero for a wine and food pairing. Due to COVID, we had to postpone our trip nearly 3 years. We finally made it and have been staying at Locanda Del Pilone Resort. We visited Boroli yesterday and had a spectacular experience. Excellent staff, beautiful vineyard, incredible tasting room, and of course excellent wine.
